NAVIGATION | Use the headings in Word’s Navigation Pane to jump between major sections. In Regent 360, select Apps to return to the application launcher. |
Regent 360 is a web-based launcher and student-information portal. It brings together common student self-service tools so you can reach your record, timetable, attendance, absence reporting, letters and linked learning services from one place.
Regent 360 gives you one starting point for common student tasks. Instead of remembering a separate address for every service, you can open the Regent 360 dashboard and choose the tile that matches what you need: review your details, check teaching activity, review attendance, report an absence, create a letter, open Canvas or open Regent Digital.
Some tiles open information directly within the Regent 360 family of applications, while others launch a linked Regent service. This means the appearance of the page can change after you select a tile. When you want to return to the main Regent 360 dashboard, use Apps in the navigation bar or return to the Regent 360 browser tab.
Regent 360 presents information that is held in Regent's student systems. It is a self-service view, not a place to guess or overwrite information when something looks wrong. If a record is missing or incorrect and there is no editing option, use the normal Regent support process for that information.
Use the live address https://360.rcl.ac.uk and sign in with your Regent account. If your browser is already signed in to a different Microsoft account, check which account is being used before continuing. Never share your password or authentication code with another person.
Your Student 360 record can include personal, contact, financial, visa and support information. Treat the portal like any other private student account: do not leave it open on a shared device, and always sign out when you finish.
SIGN IN | Open https://360.rcl.ac.uk and sign in using your Regent account when prompted. Use Apps in the top navigation to return to the Student Dashboard. |
The version 2.0 release introduces a clearer student-facing experience rather than simply exposing the staff view. The current dashboard provides direct access to your timetable, attendance, absence reporting, letters and learning services, while Student 360 has been updated to use a date-based timetable and to show consent information available to you.
The exact wording or position of a control may change slightly as the service is improved, but the main task areas described in this guide remain the same.
AREA | WHAT CHANGED / WHAT TO EXPECT |
Student dashboard | Direct access to My Details, My Timetable, My Attendance, Report an absence, Letter Generator, Canvas and Regent Digital. |
Student 360 | Student-facing view, updated attendance presentation, date-based timetable with campus/room information, and visibility of consented data. |
Letter Generator | Students can generate letters that are available for their current record and circumstances. |
STEP | ACTION |
1 | Open Regent 360: https://360.rcl.ac.uk |
2 | Complete the sign-in process shown on screen. |
3 | Choose the app tile that matches what you need to do. |
4 | Use Apps to return to the Student Dashboard. |
5 | Sign out when you have finished, especially if you are using a shared device. |
The Student Dashboard is your starting point. The current dashboard provides seven main tiles. The number markers in the screenshot correspond to the table below.
Each tile is designed around a task rather than around the name of a back-office system. Choose My Details when you want to review your student record, My Timetable for teaching activity, My Attendance for attendance information, Report an absence for the absence form, and Letter Generator when you need an official document that is available for your record.
Canvas and Regent Digital are linked services. Regent 360 acts as the launch point, but the functions you see after those services open are managed inside the destination system. If a linked service has its own error or support message, follow the guidance shown there.
If you are unsure which tile to use, start from the outcome you need rather than opening several applications at random. This makes it less likely that you will submit the same request twice or look in a section that is not intended for that task.
Figure 1. Current Regent 360 Student Dashboard with the seven available app tiles.
NO. | TILE | USE IT FOR |
1 | My Details | Open your Student 360 record and review information held about you. |
2 | My Timetable | Open your scheduled teaching/timetable information. |
3 | My Attendance | Review your attendance information. |
4 | Report an absence | Open the online absence-reporting service/form. |
5 | Letter Generator | Create a letter that is available for your current record and circumstances. |
6 | Canvas | Open Canvas for your learning content and course activity. |
7 | Regent Digital | Open the Regent Digital service from the dashboard. |
NAVIGATION | Select Apps in the top navigation whenever you need to return to this launcher. Other navigation options can depend on the account/permissions shown in the environment. |
My Details opens the student-facing Student 360 view. A section menu appears on the left and the selected information appears in the main panel. Release 2.0 created a dedicated student view and also allows students to see what information they have consented to share.
The left-hand section menu lets you move between different parts of your student record without going back to the dashboard each time. The selected section is highlighted and its information appears in the main panel.
A section can be empty for several normal reasons: there may be no record of that type, the information may not apply to you, or the information may be subject to visibility and consent rules. An empty section does not automatically mean that something has been lost from your record.
When you move between sections, keep an eye on the page title and date or academic period shown. This is especially important for attendance and timetable information, where a correct record can look very different from one semester or week to another.
Figure 2. Student 360 My Details: use the left menu to move between sections; example personal data is obscured.
SECTION | WHAT YOU CAN REVIEW |
Personal details | Your personal and contact information, support contacts and available international details. |
Enrolments | Your course/module/enrolment records and status. |
SLC | Student Loans Company information held against your record, where applicable. |
Attendance | Your attendance totals and mark breakdown for available academic sessions. |
Timetable | Your scheduled teaching activities. Release 2.0 uses dates and can show campus/room information where available. |
Qualifications | Your previous/current qualification records. |
Student visa | Your visa and immigration information, where a visa record exists. |
Student wellbeing | Welfare/support plan information held for you, where available. |
Disability | Recorded disability/support information held for you, where available. |
PEEP | Your Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan, where a record is available. |
Use Personal details as the main identity/contact overview. The screen can show student information, email/mobile/address details, support contacts such as PAT/SSO, and international information. If a value appears incorrect, use the appropriate Regent student support process rather than attempting to change unrelated data elsewhere.
Check the information carefully when you need it for another process, such as confirming your email address, telephone number, address or support contact. If a field is blank, that may mean no value is held in the view rather than that you are expected to type one into the page.
If information appears incorrect and there is no edit control, use the normal student support route for that type of information. Do not try to correct a record by entering the new value into an unrelated note, absence form or letter request.
PRIVACY | Your student record can contain personal and sensitive information. Do not leave the screen open on an unattended/shared device, and sign out when you finish. |
Enrolments shows your recorded course and enrolment information. SLC shows Student Loans Company information where it is relevant to your record. An empty or unavailable section can simply mean that there is no corresponding record to display.
You may see more than one enrolment if you have historical, completed or changed records. Read the course name, status and dates on the selected enrolment before assuming it represents your current study period.
SLC information is shown where Student Loans Company data is relevant to your record. If the SLC section is empty, it may simply mean there is no corresponding SLC record in that view. Questions that require a finance decision or correction should be raised through the appropriate support route rather than through an unrelated Regent 360 section.
Attendance lets you review attendance data for the academic sessions available on your record. The release 2.0 update aligns the student view to the updated attendance criteria.
Attendance is organised by the academic session or period available on your record. Check the selected period before comparing the totals with your own expectations. Looking at the wrong semester can make correct data appear incorrect.
Use the page to review the information recorded for you. If you believe a mark or total is wrong, follow the normal attendance/student support process. Do not submit an absence form simply to try to change an attendance value unless you actually need to report an absence.
Timetable uses a date-based week view. Move between weeks when you need to check a different period. Where available, the updated timetable includes campus and room information. A week with no classes can legitimately display a no-classes message.
The timetable is organised by real calendar dates rather than only by week number. This helps you check the exact day of an activity. Where available, the current version can also show campus and room information, so check both the date and location before travelling to a class.
If the page says there are no classes this week, check the date range shown at the top of the timetable and move to the previous or next week. A no-classes message can be completely correct for the selected period.
Qualifications contains recorded academic achievements. Student visa displays visa/immigration data where a record is available. Student wellbeing, Disability and PEEP display support information where a corresponding record exists and the information is available to you.
Qualifications can include several academic records, so select the relevant qualification when you need more detail. Student visa is only populated where visa/immigration information is held for your record.
Wellbeing, Disability and PEEP contain support information where a corresponding record is available. A PEEP is a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan. These areas may include sensitive information, so review them privately and sign out when you finish.
Version 2.0 also gives students visibility of information they have consented to share. Use the consent/information area shown in Student 360 to understand what is presented in your view.
CONSENT | Release 2.0 adds visibility of the data you have consented to share. Use the Your information/consent area in the student view where it is presented. |
The dashboard provides direct shortcuts for timetable and attendance so you do not have to open My Details first. These services present the same types of information described in Student 360: scheduled teaching for timetable and your attendance data for attendance.
The shortcuts are there for speed. If you only need to check today's or this week's teaching activity, My Timetable is usually faster than opening My Details first. The same principle applies to My Attendance when your main question is about attendance rather than the rest of your student record.
If the information shown through a shortcut looks unexpected, compare the date or academic period before assuming there is a problem. You can also return to My Details and review the corresponding section in the wider Student 360 record.
Check the week displayed, the day and time of each teaching activity, and any campus/room information shown. If you are planning travel, use the current timetable view rather than relying on an old screenshot or saved copy because teaching arrangements can differ by week.
Past activity may display an attendance state, while future teaching can appear simply as scheduled. The timetable is a schedule view; questions about an attendance mark should be checked through My Attendance or the normal attendance support route.
STEP | ACTION |
1 | From the Student Dashboard, select My Timetable. |
2 | Review the week/date shown on the timetable screen. |
3 | Move to another week/date if you need a different period. |
4 | Check campus and room information where it is displayed. |
5 | Use Apps to return to the Student Dashboard. |
NOTE | The supplied material shows the timetable within Student 360 and confirms the release 2.0 date-based view with campus/room information. The exact shortcut landing screen may vary slightly as the portal is updated. |
Select or confirm the academic period being shown before reading the totals. If multiple periods are available, compare like with like rather than comparing one semester with another.
If you need to query the information, note the relevant class/date and the period you were viewing. This makes it easier for the support team to understand the specific attendance record you are asking about.
STEP | ACTION |
1 | From the Student Dashboard, select My Attendance. |
2 | Choose or review the academic period shown by the attendance service. |
3 | Review your attendance totals/marks for that period. |
4 | If the information does not match what you expect, use the normal Regent attendance/student support process rather than submitting repeated changes through unrelated services. |
Report an absence opens Regent’s online absence-reporting service. The current Student Dashboard provides a dedicated tile so you can reach the form directly.
Use this tile when you genuinely need to report an absence. Complete the dates and questions accurately, and provide any information requested by the form. Before submitting, read the dates again to make sure the absence period is correct.
After submission, keep any confirmation page or email that the service provides. The current internal release includes email-trigger improvements and automation within the absence process, so a confirmation is useful evidence that your form entered the workflow.
Avoid submitting the same absence more than once unless a Regent team tells you to resubmit. Duplicate forms can make it harder to understand which submission is current. If you are unsure whether your first submission was received, follow the normal support route rather than creating repeated copies immediately.
STEP | ACTION |
1 | Select Report an absence from the Student Dashboard. |
2 | Complete the fields and questions presented by the online form. |
3 | Check that dates and any supporting information are accurate before submitting. |
4 | Submit once and keep any confirmation shown or sent to you. |
5 | Return to Regent 360 using the portal navigation when you have finished. |
CURRENT RELEASE | The internal release update confirms recent UI changes and email-trigger enhancements to the online absence form, together with automation that acknowledges approved absence forms against attendance processes. |
GOOD PRACTICE | Do not submit duplicate absence forms for the same absence unless a Regent team specifically asks you to resubmit. |
Letter Generator creates documents from information held on your student record. The letters shown as available depend on your programme dates, status and, for some letters, visa/international conditions.
The application only offers letters that match the information and circumstances held for your record. This is why two students can see different availability even when they open Letter Generator at the same time.
Read the description on the letter card before generating it. A letter should be chosen because its stated purpose matches what you need, not simply because it is marked Available. For example, a completion letter and a general reference letter serve different purposes.
Once a letter has been created, review the name, student reference, course information, dates and letter type before you save, print or send it to another organisation. If the document appears to contain incorrect information, stop and use the relevant support route rather than editing an official generated letter yourself.
The standard letter area includes documents for council tax, reference, course completion, suspension and withdrawal scenarios. Availability depends on whether the relevant status or event exists on your record. For example, a withdrawal confirmation cannot be produced if your record does not show a qualifying withdrawal.
Select Generate letter only after you have confirmed the correct card. If you open the wrong card, go back and choose the appropriate letter rather than using the wrong document as a substitute.
Figure 3. Standard letters: choose the required card, check availability and select Generate letter.
STEP | ACTION |
1 | Open Letter Generator from the Student Dashboard. |
2 | Review the Standard letters section. |
3 | Read the description of the letter you need. |
4 | Check that the letter is marked Available. |
5 | Select Generate letter. |
6 | Review the generated document before saving, printing or sharing it. |
STANDARD LETTER SHOWN | PURPOSE SHOWN IN THE PORTAL |
Council Tax Letter | Can be used to apply for council tax reduction. |
General Course Completion | Confirms that you have completed your course of study. |
General Reference Letter | Confirms to employers/other organisations that you are a student at Regent College. |
Successful Course Completion | Confirms that you have successfully completed your course. |
Suspension Confirmation | Confirms that your studies have been formally suspended. |
Withdrawal Confirmation | Confirms formal withdrawal from your course. |
International options shown in the supplied portal include UKVI Council Tax Letter, Schengen Visa Letter, Student Status Letter, Travel Letter and Work Reference Letter. These are grouped separately because the intended use relates to international, visa or travel circumstances.
The existence of an international letter card does not mean every request can be processed automatically. Some requests need additional checks before Regent can issue the document.
Figure 4. UKVI and international letters are grouped separately from standard letters.
INTERNATIONAL LETTER SHOWN | PURPOSE |
UKVI Council Tax Letter | Council tax documentation for international students. |
Schengen Visa Letter | Supports an application to travel within the Schengen area. |
Student Status Letter | Confirms your current student and enrolment status. |
Travel Letter | Confirms student status for international travel. |
Work Reference Letter | Additional international letter option shown in the supplied portal screen. |
Some UKVI letters cannot be produced automatically because additional checks are required. In that case, the application shows a Contact the UKVI team page and directs you to Visa Compliance.
When this happens, do not keep retrying the same request. The portal deliberately stops automatic generation so the Visa Compliance team can review the request. Follow the contact route shown on the page and include the information the page asks for.
Manual review protects both you and the College by ensuring that a visa-related document is checked before it is issued. A different automatically available letter should not be used as a replacement unless it genuinely serves the purpose for which you need evidence.
Figure 5. UKVI manual-review message: follow the Visa Compliance contact route shown by the portal.
Read the full error message before deciding what to do next. A failure can be caused by the current status or data on your record rather than by a temporary website problem.
If the page tells you to try again, retry once after checking that you selected the correct letter. If the problem continues, use the Student Services contact route shown in Letter Generator and include your full name, student reference and the letter type requested. Do not send your password or authentication code.
Figure 6. Letter Generator error message with Student Services support route.
STEP | ACTION |
1 | Read the message on the page. A letter can be unavailable because your current record/status does not meet the requirements for that document. |
2 | Try again only if the page explicitly suggests a retry. |
3 | If the problem continues, use the Student Services contact route shown on the page and include your full name, student reference and the type of letter requested. |
4 | For UKVI letters that require checks, use the Visa Compliance route shown by the portal instead of repeatedly retrying. |
Select Canvas on the Student Dashboard to open the linked Canvas service. Regent 360 acts as the launch point; once Canvas opens, use the Canvas navigation for your modules, learning content and course activity.
Regent 360 does not replace Canvas. It gives you a convenient launch point. Once Canvas is open, use Canvas itself for module areas, learning materials, course activity and any Canvas-specific navigation or support.
If a problem appears only after Canvas has opened, the issue belongs to the Canvas service rather than to the Regent 360 dashboard. Keep the browser page or error message available when you ask for help so the correct service can be identified.
Select Regent Digital to open the linked Regent Digital service. Use Apps in Regent 360 when you need to return to the Student Dashboard.
As with Canvas, Regent Digital is a destination service. Use Regent 360 to open it, complete the activity there, and then return to the Regent 360 Apps page when you need another student tool.
If you keep several services open in browser tabs, check the tab title before entering information. This helps avoid typing into the wrong application when moving between student services.
LINKED SERVICES | Canvas and Regent Digital are launch destinations from Regent 360. Their internal screens and functions are managed in those services rather than inside the Regent 360 dashboard itself. |
ISSUE | WHAT TO DO |
I cannot open Regent 360 | Check that you are using the correct Regent account and the current portal link. Retry the sign-in process. |
A dashboard tile does not open | Return to Apps and try the tile again. If a linked service is unavailable, follow the support message shown by that service. |
My Details section is empty | Some sections only show information when a corresponding record exists. Check another section or use the normal student support route if you believe key information is missing. |
My timetable shows no classes | Check the date/week and move to another period. A no-classes message can be valid for the selected week. |
A letter is not available | Availability depends on your record/status. Do not use a different letter as a substitute; follow Student Services or Visa Compliance guidance shown by Letter Generator. |
A letter fails to generate | Read the error page, retry only if advised, then use the support route shown on the page if it continues. |
First check the simple context information that commonly causes confusion: the account you used to sign in, the tile or section you opened, the student record section, the academic period or timetable week, and the letter type or absence dates involved.
If you still need help, make a note of what you were trying to do, the approximate time, the exact message shown on screen and the page or tile where it happened. For a record query, include your student reference. This gives the support team enough context to start investigating without asking you to recreate the entire journey.
Never send your password, one-time authentication code or other sign-in secret to support. If you attach a screenshot, make sure it shows the problem clearly and does not reveal unrelated personal information.
Regent 360 brings information together from Regent's student systems, but different sections have different purposes. If something appears wrong, use the support route for that type of record instead of trying to correct it in an unrelated service. For example, do not use an absence form to change a contact detail and do not request a different letter to work around an unavailable letter type.
Treat generated letters and screenshots from My Details as personal documents. Save them only where you need them, share them only with the intended organisation or person, and avoid leaving copies on a shared computer after you have finished.
Why can I see an empty section in My Details?
Some sections only display information when a corresponding record exists or when it is available to you. An empty page can therefore be normal.
Why does my timetable show no classes?
Check the week or date range first. Move to the previous or next week before assuming your timetable is missing.
Why is a letter unavailable?
Letter availability depends on your current record, status, programme dates and, for some letters, international or visa conditions. Use the guidance shown by the application instead of selecting a different letter as a substitute.
Can Regent 360 change all of my student information?
No. The student view is primarily designed to let you review information and use the self-service functions provided on the dashboard. If there is no edit option for the information you need to change, use the normal Regent support process for that record.
What should I do after using Regent 360 on a shared computer?
Sign out of Regent 360 and any linked service you opened, close the browser tabs and make sure you have not left downloaded letters or screenshots on the device.
Apps - the Regent 360 launcher. My Details / Student 360 - the student-facing view of information held about you. SLC - Student Loans Company information where applicable. PEEP - Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan. UKVI - the immigration/visa context used for certain international letters and checks. Canvas and Regent Digital - linked services launched from the Student Dashboard.
