Learn how to customize your CustomerHub account portal settings within Shopify. This guide walks you through enabling essential features like the continue shopping button, order management options, and advanced panel layouts to improve your customer experience.

Plugins & Options Overview

The 'Plugins & Options' tab, gives you access to a range of different toggleable settinging to expand the customer account experience for your customers and to fit your stores needs.\ \ This helps create a smooth, tailored account experience that boosts customer convenience and engagement. To access the 'Plugins & Options' tab, simply open the editor and select 'Plugins & Options'.

Default Landing Page

From the 'Plugins & Options' tab, the first setting you're able to manage is the 'Default Landing Page', you'll see a drop down: - **Select default landing page** - Which allows you to change the default page that customers will land on, when loading the customer account. By default, this is set to the 'For You' page, but you're able to change this to the 'Orders' or 'Profile' page instead. You're also able to set this to a custom landing URL, but this must be a store-relative path, such as '/pages/account-help' for example.

Continue Shopping Button

Inside of the 'Account Content' section, you'll see the: - Continue Shopping Button Which is a toggle that's set to on by default and gives customers with no orders on their account, a 'Start Shopping' button, which by default, links to your collections page. However this can be changed by simply clicking the 'edit' pencil icon next to the toggle. From here, you can enter your own link to a specific shopping page such as: /collections/all

Order Notes

Order notes, allows you to display the order notes, stores against an order, directly on the corresponding order, on the customer account. This could include special instructions, thank you messages, or anything else you'd like to include in the notes section of a customers order. To display order notes, simply toggle on the 'Order Notes' toggle from the 'Plugins & Options' tab (set to off by default).

**Not sure where to add or manage order notes, on a customers order?** Simply open the Shopify admin panel, and navigate to the 'Orders' tab on the left side and open an existing order, or create a new order. You'll see the notes section in the top right side of the order. This is where notes are stored and with the 'Order Notes' plugin toggled on, any notes stored here, will be diosplayed on the customers order, on the customer account.

Draft Order Invoices

By default the 'Draft Order Invoice' feature is toggled on, however if you'd like to display draft orders to customers, directly from their customer account page. Simply open the 'Plugins & Options' tab and toggle on the 'Draft Order Invoices' feature. Once toggled on, you'll also have access to option: - **Show only after invoice sent** - By default, the draft order invoice needs to be sent from the Shopify admin panel, before it's visible on the customers account. This can be toggled off however With the Draft Orders feature toggled on, Draft Orders will be visible to customers from their 'For You' page.

They will also be visible from the 'Orders' tab with existing orders.

And a new option will be added to the orders filter, located below the search bar, on the right. This option: - Draft Orders Will allow customers to filter by Draft Orders, or Orders

Product Images

By default, product images are visible on all orders, however this can be toggled off from the 'Plugins & Options' tab, by simply toggling off the 'Product Images' toggle.\ \ This will display the product name insead of the product image.

Direct Product Links

By default, when you click on the product image on Recently viewed, saved from cart, and recommended product images an 'add-to-cart modal' pops-up to give customers the ability to purchase these products directly. However, if you'd prefer this did not happen and instead, the images linked directly to the product page, instead of the modal popping up. Simply toggle on the: - **Direct Product Links** This feature makes it so, Recently viewed, saved from cart, and recommended product images open the product page instead of the add-to-cart modal when clicked.

Store Credit

Shopify now has a new 'Store Credit' feature build in that the C:Hub Customer Accounts Hub app can also display the balance off, on the customer account, directly below the customer card. To toggle this on, simply go to the 'Plugins & Options' tab, and toggle on the 'Store Credit' feature.

We recommend, also just opening the 'Settings' from the Shopify admin panel, and going to 'Customers Accounts' to ensure the 'Store Credit' feature is also toggled on, on the Shopify platform.

**Not sure where to manage a customer store credit amount?** Simply open the Shopify admin panel, and navigate to the 'Customers' tab, up the top left. Select a customer and on the right side, you'll see a 'Store Credit' section, with a pencil icon, select this icon to edit the amount of credit a customer has. The amount here, will be displayed on the customers account, while the 'Store Credit' plugin is enabled on the C:Hub Customer Accounts Hub app

Buy Again (Reorder) Button

Inside of the next section 'Order Actions' you'll see the toggle: Buy again (reorder) - Which adds a 'Buy it Again' button to the to 'Fulfilled' and 'Partially Fulfilled' orders allowing customers to quickly re-purchase products from previous orders.

When the 'Buy it Again' button is clicked, a pop-up window will be displayed, giving customers the ability to increase or decrease the amount of a product they'd like to purchase, as well as a button to view the products product page directly, and a remove item button (in the form of a trash can).\ \ Once customers are happy, they're able to either select 'Add to Cart' or 'Check Out'.\ \ This makes re-ordering a quick and easy process from the customer account.

Tip! Add the product tag 'cannot-reorder' to block a product from reorder.

Pay Now Button

By default, Shopify offers a 'Pay Now' feature on elegible orders, from their order status page. So by default, the 'Pay Now' plugin within our app, is toggled on, to help customers pay for pending orders. Once clicked, the 'Pay Now' button will take customers to the 'Order Status' page, provided by the Shopify platform, to complete their payment.

Cancel Order Button

By default, cancel order is toggle off, however can be toggled on easily from the 'Plugins and Options' tab. Which gives customer with unfulfilled orders, cancel their order, directly from the customer account. Next to the 'Cancel Order' toggle, you'll also see the edit, pencil icon, that allows you to edit the conditions of the cancel order button. From here you can set: - **Allow cancellation within (hours)** - By default set to 0, which means the order has no time limit for when it can be cancelled. However you can set this to any amount of hours you'd like. For example, you may only want to allow a 6 hour cancellation window, so simply enter 6, into this field and save. - **Send Shopify notification email** - A toggle (default off) to automatically send Shopifys standard cancellation notification email, if an order is cancelled - **Refund payment in Shopify** - A toggle (default off) that will trigger Shopifys refund process when an order is cancelled - **Restock inventory in Shopify** - A toggle (default off) that will trigger Shopifys restock process for the cancelled products in the order

**Not sure where to edit your 'Order canceled' email?** Simply open the Shopify admin portal and click settings down the bottom left, then in the search bar, type 'cancel' and scroll down to the 'Order canceled' template under the 'Order Exceptions' heading. Click on 'Order canceled' to edit the template in Shopify.

Order Status Button

The Order status button, plugin is automatically toggled on and gives customers an easy way to navigate to the full 'Order Status Page' provided by Shopify. If you'd prefer to not have this displayed on orders, simply toggle it off from the 'Plugins and Options' tab

Shopify Returns

Shopify now offers a returns options inside of the Shopify customer accounts portal. To support this feature, you can simply toggle on the 'Shopify Returns' plugin from the 'Plugins and Options' tab. That will add a 'Request Return' button to fulfilled orders. If you also click the edit, pencil icon, next to the toggle, you'll be able to set the: - **Return Window** - This can be set to (default) unlimited, 14 days, 30 days, 90 days, custom days

Not sure where to manage the Shopify returns feature? Simply head to the Shopify admin panel, and select settings down the bottom left. Navigate to 'Customer accounts' and you'll see: - Self-serve returns and cancellations Which can be toggled on and managed from here. Please ensure this is toggled on if you also have it toggled on within the C:Hub Customer Accounts Hub app.

Reload after Add to Cart

Running into an issue with items not appearing in the cart after you've added them to cart? This could simply be that the theme you're using, uses a dynamic cart. Simply toggle on the 'Reload after Add to Cart' plugin from the 'Plugins and Options' tab, and this will fix that up for you.

Advanced Option Management

The section inside of the 'Plugins and Options' tab, is the 'Advanced Options' section. Which gives you access to the below toggle: - Open product links in same tab- By default, when clicking on product links, they open in a new tab. If you'd prefer they open in the same tab, simply toggle this option on
