Resubscribing contacts in Dot Digital

This scribe provides detailed instructions that the user needs to perform when they would like to resubscribe a contact and add it back to the Dot Digital contact list for future sends

Provide a name for your list. In this example, we are setting the list name as 'Resubscribed Contacts - Tall Bob' Once the list name is provided, click on the 'Add New List' Button

You would need to add any contacts to the list at this point. So we can click on the 'Back' Button

The next step is to create a Program. To get started on that, navigate to the Automations menu and click on the Programs menu option. Once you are in the page, click on the 'New Program' Button and choose a 'Blank Template'

Provide a name for the Program in the 'Program Name' field. In this example, we are setting the name of the program as 'Resubscribe Program - Tall Bob'. Once you have provided the program name, click on the 'Continue' Button

The first step in creating a program is to create a start condition. Click on the condition box for the side pane to open. This is where you can customize your program's start conditions. Once the side pane is open, click on the 'Set Rule' Button in the Enrolment Rules section

In the Trigger from section, set the trigger as 'Segment' by clicking on the radio button next to the option You will see options getting autopopulated once the segment option is selected. Click on the 'Create New' Button

Once you are in the Create Segment page, the first step is to provide a name for your segment. In this example the name we are providing for the segment is 'Resubscribed Contacts Segment - Tall Bob'

Drag the 'Data Fields' option under the 'Data' menu and drop it in First section 'Include contacts that match all rules in this group'

In the search field, enter 'Tall' and search for the Tall_Bob_Unsubscribe Field and click on the radio button next to it to choose the 'Tall_Bob_Unsubscribe' data field

Set the condition to 'is no' and once it's all set, click on the 'Okay' Button to save the condition

Under the sources section, drag the 'Lists' rule and drop it in the 'Exclude contacts that match all the rules in this group' section

In the 'Options for lists' dropdown, set the option to 'not in specific lists'

Search for 'Tall' in the search field and select the 'Resubscribed Contacts - Tall Bob' list. Once the list is chosen, click on the 'Okay' Button

Once all the required rules are set, click on the 'Apply' Button to save your segment and click on the 'Apply' Button to save your Enrolment Rule

The next step is to set the Enrolment Scheduling. Click on the 'Set Schedule' Button and set the enrolment scheduling period as per your requirement. Once all the necessary details are set, click on the 'Apply' Button to save your 'Enrolment Scheduling' Finally click on the 'Apply' Button to save your start conditions Click this button field.

The next step is to add a 'Webhook'. Under the webhooks section, drag and drop 'Tall Bob' below the start condition.

Click on the webhook to configure the action Set the endpoint to '/opt-out/mobile' and click on the arrow next to the 'Headers and Body data' section to expand the section

In the body, enter the following payload\ {\ "type": "opt-in"\ "mobile": "@MOBILENUMBERID@"\ } \ Once all the details are provided, click on the 'Apply' Button

The third step in the program is to add an action. Below the webhook, drag and drop the 'Add contact' action

Click on the 'Add Contact' action and once the side pane opens, click on the 'Select List' Button

Search 'Tall' and select the list 'Resubscribed Contacts - Tall Bob'. This is the list we created at the start of this guide. Once the list is selected, click on the 'Apply' Button to add the list

Once the start condition, webhooks and the action is set to your program, the next step is to add your 'End' condition to terminate the process. \ Drag and drop the 'End' condition below the action. Once that is done, click on the 'Save' Button to 'save' your program
