This Hands-on Lab will provide a fully guided immersive lab, that is a quick and easy way to evaluate and demo Dell Technologies newest technologies through virtual environments that do not entail  any complex setup or installation.

This Hands-on Lab contains the following modules:

This module will introduce us to Dell AIOps and the Home page. We will see how the Home page not only provides high level summary information for potential issues, but additional detailed information allowing the user to potentially take action without the need to drill down further into the Dell AIOps UI

Home Page Overview (Copy)

This module focuses on monitoring the health and update status of the systems within Dell AIOps. From the Home Page, you will explore the Systems Needing Updates and Proactive Health Score tiles to perform health checks, stage and orchestrate update, and troubleshoot system health issues.

Health Monitoring (Copy)

This module shows us how Dell AIOps provides detailed capacity information for traditional storage, PowerProtect DD systems and subscription based Offerings. We'll also see what capacity means for Connectrix switches.

Capacity Monitoring (Copy)

This module shows us how Dell AIOps helps identify potential performance issues in the storage environment. Dell AIOps uses time-correlated analytics to identify performance impact scenarios including an increase in latency while IOPS and/or bandwidth decreases. It also utilizes machine learning to compare current performance metrics with historical values to determine if any of the current metrics deviate from historical and expected ranges.

Performance Impacts and Anomalies (Copy)

This module shows how we can access and analyze power consumption, energy usage, and carbon footprint emissions in Dell AIOps. By following the steps, users can view total carbon emissions and energy usage for all systems, as well as historical trends and forecasts for individual systems. This information can be valuable for individuals or organizations looking to monitor and manage their environmental impact and meet sustainability goals.

Energy Usage, Power Consumption, and Carbon Footprint Insights (Copy)

This module will introduce functionality that allows a user to monitor and perform maintenance to their PowerEdge environment in Dell AIOps. We will look at how Dell AIOps provides PowerEdge information in the following categories: Health, Inventory, and Performance and then see how we can initiate system updates for PowerEdge servers.

PowerEdge Management (Copy)

This module introduces Dell AIOps support for Dell VxRail Hyperconverged Infrastructure. We will review the multisystem views and system details pages showing Health, Inventory, and Capacity for VxRail systems.

Managing VxRail (Copy)

This module walks through the latest VMware monitoring capabilities within Dell AIOps by utilizing the Collector tool to collect the VM telemetry from vSphere and sending through the secure telemetry conduit, SCG. We will look at various details about a virtual machine, see how Dell AIOps reports on configuration changes in the VMware or related storage environment, review key performance metrics for a VM and demonstrate how Dell AIOps identifies performance anomalies and impacts on the VM.

VMware Integration (Copy)

This module provides an overview of the cybersecurity feature in Dell AIOps. We will see how cybersecurity identifies security risks by comparing configurations to a set of security-related evaluation criteria, notifying users of any deviations from the configured plan. We'll also see how it identifies applicable Dell Security Advisories and how it can identify potential cybersecurity ransomware incidents in near real time.

Cybersecurity (Copy)

This module introduces custom tags and custom reports. Custom tags allow us to add customer-specific metadata to objects within Dell AIOps in order to help with things like grouping and filtering. Custom reporting allows us to create customer-specific reports which can be placed on a dashboard or scheduled to be sent via email to other interested parties.

Custom Tags and Reports (Copy)

This module focuses on how Dell AIOps can quickly identify systems in need of updates to help ensure Code Currency to avoid known issues. 

System Updates (Copy)

With Dell AIOps, users can extend the platform's monitoring and alerting capabilities to external services and custom tools. In this lesson, you will learn how to configure webhooks to send automated health issue notifications to applications such as Microsoft Teams, ServiceNow, and Slack, create and manage REST API keys for programmatic access to your Dell AIOps data, and understand the role-based access controls that govern API usage.

External Tool Integrations (Copy)

Please note that the Dell AIOps demonstration is conducted using a simulator. As a result, only the elements necessary for the completion of the demonstration are activated in the simulator.

 The AIOps Assistant functionality originally described in this Hands-on Lab has changed within Dell AIOps, such that it will enable users to access a new Agentic User Experience based on the content in Dell AIOps. Stay tuned for a new lab describing this new functionality in further detail coming soon.
