This Hands-on Lab contains the following modules:

In this module, you will login to Unipshere for PowerMax.  You will review the pre-created dashboards, and gain an overview of the managed PowerMax Systems.

1. PowerMax Managment Overview (Copy)

In this module, you will explore the Storage Group view where you will manage the storage residing on the PowerMax system.   We will perform the following actions: Creating a new storage group and volumes and presenting them to a host in a masking view for consumption by Operating System and applications.

2. Unisphere for PowerMax - Provisioning Block Storage  (Copy)

In this module using the latest Unisphere for PowerMax you will learn how to access key views and interpret capacity utilization metrics taking into account data reduction achieved on your systems,

3. Unisphere for PowerMax - Understanding Data Reduction & Capacity Monitoring (Copy)

This guide explains how to leverage Dell AIOps in Unisphere for PowerMax. It shows how Unisphere sends data to Dell AIOps for analysis and generates recommendations for remediation. The guide walks through the home dashboard view, the Dell AIOPs page, and provides examples of recommendations for issues related to capacity, vWitness configuration, effective capacity, and suspended Metro sessions.

4. Unisphere for PowerMax - Leveraging Dell AIOPs (formerly CloudIQ) (Copy)

Dell TimeFinder SnapVX creates and manages point-in-time snapshots of critical data that can be used for backups, decision support, and to refresh data warehouse, test, and development environments. 

SnapVX snapshots require little setup and are incredibly space efficient with snapshots sharing tracks between source and target volumes,.

5. Local Replication - SnapVX Snaphots (Copy)

Learn about the most advanced remote replication technology in the world. See just how easy it is to manage SRDF with built in automation in Unisphere by running through different scenarios and usage of SRDF

6. SRDF and SRDF Metro (Copy)

Learn about NDM and the enhancements made in the latest release including leveraging SRDF/Metro for NDM

7. Metro Based Non Disruptive Migration  (Copy)

This  modules provides valuable insights into leveraging power and response time metrics in PowerMax OS, enhancing storage administrators' ability to monitor performance effectively. By utilizing Unisphere’s extensive metric capabilities, users can quickly identify whether performance issues stem from internal components or external factors, ultimately improving troubleshooting efficiency.

8. Exploring Power and Response Time Metrics in PowerMax OS  (Copy)

Please note that the PowerMax demonstration is conducted using a simulator. As a result, only the elements necessary for the completion of the demonstration are activated in the simulator.
