Crash Consistent
We need to select the purpose of our new Protection Policy. Most virtual machines can be protected as Crash Consistent, which represent a point-in-time backup. For virtual machines running with Microsoft SQL, PowerProtect can take a backup as Application Aware. This means that PowerProtect will also quiesce the application to perform SQL database and transaction log backup. In this particular case, PowerProtect will push the necessary application agent on the virtual machine.
