Alert! Guaranteeing Lots is related to a concept called "Indicative Conformance" in MRTS50 Clause 10.1.2. The Contractor is paid for the works, despite some evidence of conformance remaining outstanding.
For the [TIC.CO](http://TIC.CO) contract, the Contract requries that evidence of conformance for the indicatively conformed Lot be provided in the preceding month's payment claim. The conditions of contract also state that the Principal / Client is not obliged to pay for the works where evidence of conformance has not been provided.
When the period is closed and changed to the new period, the status of all "Guaranteed" lots is changed to "Guaranteed > 1 Month". These Lots are automatically deducted from new periods payment claim. If evidence of conformance is provided in the preceding month as stated in the contract, the status of these Lots can be set to closed, and the deduction will be removed.
If evidence of conformance is not provided in the preceding month and the status is not changed to "Closed", a "Guaranteed > 1 Month" Lot will be deducted from the payment certificate. Once the Contractor provides evidence of conformance and the Lot status is changed to "Closed:, the amount will be re-certified.
