Review Security Role Access

This guide provides steps on how to review security role access by department, organization, or employee in Workday.

Workday

Security Role by Organization

Start from the Workday homepage.

To review who has the Absence Partner, Business Officer, HR Partner, Compensation Partner, Recruiting Coordinator, SALX Coordinator, and Timekeeper roles for a supervisory organization, use the **Search** bar and enter **sup:** and the **name of the supervisory organization** or **supervisory organization manager’s name**.

Select the **Roles** tab.

The list of users by **Role** appears. Use the scroll bar to view the list.

Security Role by Department

Use the Security Role by Department to review who has the Finance Partner role. Search for the **department number** or **name** using the **Search** bar and then select the department.

Select the **Roles** tab.

The list of users with the **Finance Partner** role for the department appears.

Academic Faculty by Department

To review who has the **Academic Faculty Partner** role for a department, use the **Search** bar and enter **au:** and the **department number** or **name**.

Select the **Support Roles** tab.

The list of users with the **Academic Faculty Partner** role appears.

Employee Access

To determine security role access for a specific employee, use the **Search** bar to search for the employee.

Select the **Supervisory Organization** link under **Job Details** for the employee.

Select the **Roles** tab.

The list of Absence Partner, Business Officer, HR Partner, Compensation Partner, Recruiting Coordinator, SALX Coordinator, and Timekeeper roles appears. Use the **scroll bar** and use the **Item Numbers** to view all the roles.

Select the **Roles** tab.

The list of users with the **Finance Partner** role for the department appears.

Academic Faculty by Department

To review who has the **Academic Faculty Partner** role for a department, use the **Search** bar and enter **au:** and the **department number** or **name**.

Select the **Support Roles** tab.

The list of users with the **Academic Faculty Partner** role appears.

Employee Access

To determine security role access for a specific employee, use the **Search** bar to search for the employee.

Select the **Supervisory Organization** link under **Job Details** for the employee.

Select the **Roles** tab.
