Adding Sections to a Page using CMS

This guide provides a step-by-step approach to effectively add sections to a webpage using the CMS, ensuring alignment with branding and design specifications.

Determine the new homepage design based on the branding document provided in the ticket. Go to the "**Copy - Homepage**" tab, and locate the site selections in column A:\ "**Home Header #**"\ "**Homepage Layout Option #**" These option numbers correspond to Zeplin designs in the 10k template.

The Zeplin 10k file contains the design options that are available. <https://app.zeplin.io/project/6721570b2f8fd8d85b2859a9/dashboard> There are **3** homepage design options.

And **5** homepage header options available to the client.

Start with the **Under 10k Template**. Navigate to <https://under10k-on-basegst.runmytests.com/>\ In the Admin Helper - select: **Themes and Pages for this site**

New Site Content

Switch to the **New Site** that is being built.

*[[New Site]]*\ From "**Themes & Pages**"\ Click "**Homepage**"

*[[New Site]]*\ Click "**Add Section**"

*[[New Site]]*\ Click the "**Search**" field.\ For this example, we enter "**Section 36**", to filter the CMS Section Catalog.

*[[New Site]]*\ Under "**Add New**" tab\ Click "**Hero - (Section 36a)**"

*[[New Site]]*\ Click this text field and enter a short description (3 words or less).

*[[New Site]]*\ Click "**Add Section**"

*[[New Site]]*\ Scroll to the bottom\ Click "**Save**"

*[[New Site]]*\ Click the new Section, currently named "**Home**"

*[[New Site]]*\ Click the "**Name**" field and complete the full name of the Section.\ Name "**Home - (Section 36a)**"

*[[New Site]]*\ Click "**Save**"\ Leave "**Always Create New**" unchecked. **This is NOT a template.**

*[[New Site]]*\ You can now see the updated Section name: **Home - (Section 36a)**
