Duplicating CMS Guide and Dev Guide Pages

This guide provides a step-by-step process for duplicating CMS and Dev Guide pages, ensuring a seamless transition to the new site structure. It emphasizes the importance of the CMS Guide page as a foundational reference for client-managed sections.

Now that all of the new site sections have been built, we can build out the pages. Each page build will access this inventory of sections to choose from. Started with **Modules**\ Then the **Sections**\ Now building the **Pages <----**\ then **Theme** Module > Section > **Page** > Theme

Page elements:\ **1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6** will be copied over to the new site section.

Start with the **Under 10k Site.** *This is where we will copy all of the pages from.*\ The **CMS Guide** page must be the first page to be built. Navigate to <https://under10k-on-basegst.runmytests.com/>\ In the Admin Helper - select: **Themes and Pages for this site**

***[[Under 10k Site]]***\ All of the 10k Template **sections** have been copied over to the new site. *The first page built using the new sections will be the **CMS Guide** page.*

***[[Under 10k Site]]***\ Click on the page "**CMS Guide**".\ *This will be the reference page for all of the Client Managed Sections.*

***[[Under 10k Site]]***\ Reference the "**Basic Page Settings**" area.\ We need to copy this data to the new site.

New Site Content

Switch to the **New Site** that is being built.

*[[New Site]]*\ Click "**Themes & Pages**"\ Click "**Add Page**"

*[[New Site]]*\ Click "**Content**" *Remember the 10k Page Settings **#4***

*[[New Site]]*\ Click the "**Page Name**" field. \ Enter: **CMS Guide**\ *Remember the 10k Page Settings **#1*** Click the "**Layout**" dropdown.\ Select "**v1 - Content Page - DEV**"\ *Remember the 10k Page Settings **#5***

*[[New Site]]*\ Click "**Add Page**"

*[[New Site]]*\ Click "**Assigned Theme**" dropdown.\ Select "**GST**"\ *Remember the 10k Page Settings **#2*** "**Page URL**" field. Enter: **cms-guide**\ *Remember the 10k Page Settings **#3*** **Check** "exclude from content search" "**Identifier**" field. Enter: **section-guide**\ *Remember the 10k Page Settings **#6***

*[[New Site]]*\ Click "**Add Section**"

*[[New Site]]*\ Click "**Use Existing**"

*[[New Site]]*\ Click "**CMS Guide - Table of Contents - (Section 10b)**"

*[[New Site]]*\ The Section has been added to the page.

*[[New Site]]*\ Scroll to the SEO & Social Sharing section. \ Copy the meta title found on the 10k Page.\ **Check** "Prevent Search Engine Indexing".\ Click "**Meta Title**" and enter: "**CMS Guide - \[\[COMPANY NAME\]\]**"\ This is the title that will appear in the browser tab as well as the page title for Search Engine results.

*[[New Site]]*\ Click "**Save All Changes**"

*[[New Site]]*\ Select "Preview" and select all files.\ Click "**Preview**"

*[[New Site]]*\ Click on the "**RunMyTests URL**" to view the **New Site** on the Preview Server.\ Navigate to /cms-guide to view the **CMS Guide** page with the new section.

*[[New Site]]*\ Now add all of the new CMS Sections to the **CMS Guide** page.\ The sections should be added to the page in the same order as the **10k Template - CMS Guide** page.

Now duplicate **Under 10k Template - Dev Page.** \ *Use the same process as you just did with the **CMS Guide** page.*
