Sending an instruction

The engineer sends instructions of various types to the contractor

Go to the Events Register by selecting "Events" from the main menu.

Click "add instruction".

Complete the form making sure you select the correct contract/package you want to issue the instruction for. Check the Type you have selected carefully as this determines whether your instruction is to be put into effect immediately by the contractor or not. Click "submit instruction..." to proceed to the confirmation page.

Click "preview attachment" to download a preview of the instruction you are about to issue, if you are not satisfied use the "go back" link at the bottom of the page to make changes.

Once you are satisfied with the instruction preview enter the password you log in with and click "confirm"

You have successfully sent your instruction

Your instruction appears in the Events Register and can be distinguished as an instruction by the hand icon and instruction number which appear in the Instruction column of the grid.
