How to Add a Group Class in Noto

Group Classes are classes with a predefined schedule and multiple students attending the same sessions. When you set up a Group Class, you create the events and schedule in advance. Enrolling a student simply adds them to the existing class schedule.

From the main menu, click "Group classes"

Click "Add group class"

Fill out the required information about the class

Schedules are flexible—you can update the schedule, room, and staff at any time.

[[Plans]] define when and how students are billed for group class enrollments. The **[[Eligible plans]]** setting determines which plans are available during enrollment. We recommend leaving this set to **[[All]]** initially, then restricting it later as your billing needs evolve.

(Optional) **[[Semesters]]** are a scheduling shortcut in Noto. A [[semester]] defines: - A **[[start date]]** - An **[[end date]]** - A set of **[[blackout dates]]** (holidays, breaks, closures) When you schedule using a semester, Noto will: - Automatically set the schedule’s **[[start and end dates]]** - Generate events based on the selected **[[recurrence]]** - **[[Skip blackout dates]]** so no events are created on those days To set up a semester, go to **[[Settings → Semesters]]**.

Once you click **[[Submit]]**, Noto will create the class and its schedule and take you to the class details page.

The **Group Class** details page shows all scheduled events for the class. From here, you can add, reschedule, or delete events, and enroll students in the class
