Login to Sitecore

Click "Media Library"

find and open 'documents'

Within documents, open the PDFs folder and find the folder most relevant for the document you're uploading.

If no folder exists, you can either create one (right click on pdfs and click 'insert' then 'media folder' or simply right-click "PDFs" and click 'insert'

Click "Upload File"

locate the required file on your drive

Click "Upload"

Click "Save"

Finally, under the 'review' tab across the top of sitecore, select 'submit to publish'
