AgSense 365 | ICON+ Version 5 Updates

This guide highlights the new AgSense 365 features related to ICON+ Firmware Version 5. We explain the new device configuration options, faults, and readings available for ICON+ V5.

Click on an ICON+ device card to navigate to Device Detail view.

In order to view the new features in AgSense 365, the ICON+ must be upgraded to Firmware Version 5.

Click the three dots menu and choose Configuration.

Device Configuration

The Movement Delay setting tells your machine how long to wait before it starts moving after receiving a start command. This enables proper startups for systems using generative phasing (e.g., rotophase), ensuring equipment is fully powered before operation begins.

Sensor Calibration fields allow you to fine-tune non-standard 4-20 mA end pressure sensors by entering the sensor's pressure and current output ranges. ICON+ uses these values to calculate pressure accurately.

The Overwatering Timer helps prevent overwatering caused by a stalled or non-moving machine. Users can configure the maximum amount of time the machine is allowed to water without moving at least one degree.

ICON+ automatically adjusts the Overwatering Timer based on the current percent timer setting, eliminating the need to manually recalculate the shutdown threshold when operating speed changes. For example, a setting of 15 minutes allows 15 minutes to travel one degree at 100%, 30 minutes at 50%, and 60 minutes at 25%. If the machine fails to travel one degree before the adjusted time limit expires, operation stops and an **Overwatering Timer** fault is generated.

The GPS Loss section provides a set of safeguards and fallback behaviors when GPS communication or GPS fix are lost. If GPS communication is lost for longer than the configured shutdown period, the machine will stop and generate a **GPS Comm Loss** fault. If GPS fix is lost for longer than the configured shutdown period, the machine will stop and generate a **GPS Fix Loss** fault.

Check this box to turn off end guns when GPS is lost to avoid unintended watering outside of the coverage area.

Check this box to use Runtime Fallback Position during temporary GPS outages. This feature uses historical machine performance to calculate an average travel speed and estimate position while GPS data is unavailable. Programs and other position-based settings will continue to operate using this estimation.

**Alert!** Runtime Fallback is intended to reduce disruptions caused by short-term GPS issues and should not be considered a replacement for valid GPS positioning during extended outages. Position accuracy may decrease over time while operating without GPS updates.

Faults & Readings

ICON+ V5 supports three new faults: Overwatering Timer, GPS Comm Loss, and GPS Fix Loss. These faults will be displayed on Device Detail view as well as the device readings table on the Activity tab.

Scroll the readings table to the right to view new columns for Runtime Fallback, Input Relays and Output Relays.
