Screenshot of Good Standing Status from Secretary of State

Many Kansas Commerce grant programs require that busiensses be in good standing with the Secretary of State, and have applicants upload a copy of their good standing status to the grant application. Kansas Commerce only needs a screenshot of the good standing status, not a paid certificate, unless otherwise specifed. Below are instructions on how to aquire that screenshot. Navigate to <https://www.sos.ks.gov/>

Click "Businesses"

Click "Business Search"

You may be asked to confirm that you are human by completing an exercise. Follow the instructions on the webpage.

Click "Confirm"

Click the "Type here" field and type in the legal name of your business or non-profit. Click "Search" to search for your organization.

Click "Select Business" on your organization.

You will be brought to this page with an overview of your business's standing with the Kansas Secretary of State. You will need to take a screenshot of this page. You can print this page to PDF using ctrl + P and saving it as a pdf or your computers snipping tool. As a reminder in most cases you do not need to purchase a certificate of good standing, just upload a screenshot of this webpage. Please make sure that your screenshot is current for each grant you apply to.
