How To: Respond to Progress Report Request

This guide explains where progress report requests arrive, how to access the Student Feedback form in Navigate, and which fields are required versus optional. It also clarifies the two submission choices so you don’t accidentally lock yourself out before finishing. Submitting Progress Reports ensures students needing help are identified and referred correctly to Student Success Center (SSC) staff.

Email Request

Faculty receive an email request to submit Progress Reports. The email has a link to the Student Feedback form. If the faculty member teaches multiple courses and/or sections, these all appear on one page through the email link. Things to look for when receiving the **Progress Report email request**: 1. The email will come from Student Success Center staff via Navigate. 2. The link will take you Navigate to complete the Student Feedback form. 3. The email will always include Pitt State's safe, secure messaging.

Navigate Request

Navigate to <https://pittstate.campus.eab.com/#?tab-state=students_tab_hash> Go to your **Professor Home**.

If a Progress Report request has been sent, you will see a yellow bar at the top of your **Professor Home** page. Click the **Fill Out Progress Reports** link to complete the request by the listed due date.

Student Feedback Form

Once you click the email or Navigate link, you will be taken to the Student Feedback form. The following must then be completed: 1. **Is the student at risk?:** You only need to mark students that are at risk. If the student is not at risk, you do not need to mark them. 2. **Alert Reasons:** If you mark a student at risk, you must select at least one alert reason (you may select more than one if necessary). 3. **How Many Absences?:** Optional; however, if you select an Excessive Absences alert reason, this information is helpful for SSC staff. 4. **Current Grade:** Optional; however, if you select an Academic Performance Concerns alert reason, this information is helpful for SSC staff. 5. **Comments:** Optional **UNLESS you select the Other alert reason**. SSC staff must have a comment to know why the student is at risk.

Options to Submit Request

After completing the request, you have two options of how to submit the feedback: - **Submit only marked students (but I'm not done):** Select this to submit ***only those students marked at risk***. It will remove those students marked at risk, but ***allows you to return to the Student Feedback form*** to continue working until the deadline date. - **Submit unmarked students as not At-Risk (I'm all done):** Select this when you are completely finished with your student feedback for ***ALL STUDENTS***. Once this is selected, your report will be submitted and you ***WILL NO LONGER have access to this feedback form***.
