Adding Jobs

To add a job to a customer, head to the Customers list and click into the desired customer.

Click the pink three dots to 'Add New Job'.

You should see the 'New Job' form appear on the left hand side. The only mandatory fields here are the Services and Frequency. However, there are many other values you can edit, with the first being the job location. If the job location is the same as the customer's, you can leave this as it is. However, if the job address is different, click into the 'Job Address' field and adjust the address by searching for it > pin here > SAVE.

Adding Jobs: Setting the Service/s

Next up is to add the services that will be carried out on this job. Click into 'Services'.

You will see the option to: - Price Job (one set job price, regardless of the individual service prices) - Price Services (allows you to set a price for each service, and adds them together for the overall job price). If you 'Price Job', add your services to the Services field and adjust the price accordingly.

If pricing by service, click 'ADD SERVICE' and select all required services from the list. Click 'Done' when you're ready.

If you choose to price by services, and have default prices already set for your services, these will be pulled through automatically. If not, adjust the rate and quantity of the job before clicking 'SAVE'.

If required, you add an 'Initial Price' if you want the first appointment to be priced differently. If this is set, the job will default to the overall price upon the second appointment.

You will be able to set a Purchase Order Number here for the next invoice. Simply tick the box and enter the number in the field.

Adding Jobs: Setting the Schedule

Click into 'Schedule'.

You can either set the job schedule to be 'ad hoc' (a one-off job). You will be able to toggle the 'Job Date Required' depending on if you want to specify a start date, or not. If you choose to not require a job date, the job will not show on your planner views until a date is confirmed.

Alternatively, you can have a 'repeating' job (one that reoccurs regularly). Again, you will have the option to enable/disable the 'Job Date Required' toggle.

If you have **Scheduled Rounds** enabled, you will be able to add a job straight to that round frequency by clicking the 'Job Frequency' drop down menu and selecting the round you want to add it to.

If you do not have scheduled rounds, just choose 'Job Frequency' from the drop down menu and adjust the job schedule accordingly. You can choose from days, weeks and months. You may also need to choose a 'Starting date' in the relevant field.

Finally, click 'SAVE' to save the job frequency.

If you want the first date for this job to differ from the overall schedule, you can tick the 'First Date' box and set the first job date accordingly by clicking the correct date on the calendar and then 'SELECT'.

Adding Jobs: Other Settings

If you want the job to be carried out at a specific time, click the 'Time' option and either adjust the time before clicking 'SAVE'. Alternatively, you can enable the toggle stating that the job can be started at any time of the day.

If you want to set the duration of a job, click 'Duration' and adjust the hours/mins fields accordingly before clicking 'SAVE'.

If you have multiple users on your account, you can set an Assignee or multiple using the 'add' option on 'Assignees'. Simply click from the list, and use the 'add' option again to add more.

If you want to add it straight to a round, click the Round option, select your chosen round from the list and click 'DONE' in the top right. To create a new round to add it to, enter the round name in the search field, click the 'add' option and then click 'DONE'.

If you have user skills set up, you can set the 'Required Skills' on the job using that option. Click from the list of skills or click 'Select All'. Then click 'SAVE'. See more on Skills here [[https://scribehow.com/viewer/Adding_and_Assigning_Skills__ur_aX0C2TkGoaEMI_CErYQ]]

In the 'Details' section, you can add: - Notes (job notes) - Job Notes for Invoice (invoice notes)

If on the Ultimate subscription, you can also add any Custom Fields directly to the job. Find more on Custom Fields here <https://scribehow.com/page/Custom_Fields__MBqOK5dQSIOGxWg5AoB0Hg>

Again, if you want to add any Discounts to the job, you can do see here. For more guidance on Discounts in Squeegee, please see here [[https://scribehow.com/viewer/Discounts_in_Squeegee__kK3Xr72uQdCs7rDacGtjZQ]]

Finally, you will see the option to override some global settings for this particular job. You can adjust: - Track Time (whether the job requires time tracking) - Require Signature (whether the job requires sign off on completion) - Job State (whether the job is active or inactive)

Once you have adjusted the job settings accordingly, you can click 'SAVE' in the top right corner.

If you prefer, you can also add a job directly from the Job List, Work Planner or Multi Planner by using the pink three dots to 'Add Work'.

Viewing & Editing Jobs

Once you have created a job, you will view it by clicking into the Customer. Each job will have a few occurrences listed on it. If you click into one of the occurrences, you will be able to view all details for this specific occurrence.

Click the backwards/forwards date arrows to view the previous/next occurrence.

If you want to view further details on the job as a preview, without clicking into the 'Edit Job' option, simply click 'VIEW'.

To view all appointments at a glance, click 'APPOINTMENTS'. Again, you can click into these to view the individual occurrence.

To edit a job, click the three dots on the job overview from the Customer view and click 'Edit Job'. Once any changes have been made, click 'SAVE' in the top right. You will also be able to 'Reset Job Schedule' here, which will remove any overdue appointments and reset the schedule from the next appointment.

If you click back into the three dots on the job, you will also see the option to: - Pause/Resume Job Schedule - Deactivate Job - Reset Job Schedule - View Job Appointments - View Date Update Events - Move to Another Customer - Delete Job
