Creating an Audience - SEND

In this tutorial you will learn how to create an audience for your campaign on the Squeegee SEND feature.

Please note Squeegee SEND is only available on **Ultimate** and above subscriptions.

Head to **Send** > **Audiences**.

You can view and search for your existing audiences here. To add a new one, click '**CREATE AUDIENCE**'.

Click into the 'Name' field and add the name of the audience. You can also add a 'Description' - these fields are for you to identify which audience is which.

You will need to create the audience using available filters and the 'AND/OR' selections. When you click into the 'Field' box, you will see a list of available filters. For this example, 'Job Round' has been chosen.

You can also change the 'Operator' field, which will display options such as 'has/has not' or 'is/is not'. Finally, click into the 'Value' field and choose the field value. If choosing 'Rounds', this will be the time to select the round you want to filter for.

Click '**SAVE FILTER**' to save each field selection.

You can then combine filters using and/or: **AND** - combines the existing filters, and only shows customers who match on **both/all** filters. **OR** - searches for customers who qualify for either/any of the filters.

For example, if you are searching for a round, but only want to include **active** customers in that round, you will need to combine two filters with 'AND', with the second filter being 'Customer State is Active'. Again, ensure to click '**SAVE FILTER**'. You should see the number of customers adjusting at the bottom.

You might use the '**OR**' connector if you have multiple filters but some of them need to be combined. In this example, since I filtered specifically for **active** customers who were also in a specific round, when I want to add in another round for the search, I will search for: **OR** Job Round is ... *choose round* Ensure once again to '**SAVE FILTER**'.

Since we were searching for only **active** customers, we will need to add this back in for the second 'OR' filter group. So now we are searching for: Round is X\ **and**\ Customer State is Active **OR** Round is Y \ **and**\ Customer State is Active

You will be able to view the total number of customers in the audience, as well as a list and an option to search through these below.

Finally, when you are happy with your audience, click '**SAVE**'.
