It's important that you can keep notes both publicly and privately. Understand that even private notes can be discoverable. This feature allows you to write notes to Abacus, the client (law firms) and yourself.\ \ Just be aware that anything you type into this system maybe discoverable and brought up in deposition and/or trial testimony.

Let's look at this particular line item. This may not have enough information based on the bill provided to us.

By clicking on the note button, you will pull up a dialouge box.

You can type into the Public Notes section. Anything you type here will also end up on your report.

You can see your prior notes by clicking back on the notes icon.\ \ Notice how the icon looks different if a note is saved on a particular line item.

Let's look at another type of note

Internal notes are private notes. The Abacus Team and yourself can read these notes, but it will not appear on your report.\ \ NOTE - These notes are still discoverable. Only input notes that you are ok with potentially being brought up in deposition and trial testimony.

You can select from "Further Itemization Needed" or "Not a Medical Service". These are our most frequent notes entered into your reports.

If you have a case or bill with poor documentation, please send the Abacus Analytics team an email requesting better documentation. While our team has access to these notes, we will not be notified when you need additional bills/documentation.
