Abacus Analytics cases may have a lot of line items to review. It's critical that you review every line item, but it maybe difficult to navigate when there are hundreds if not thousands of records. Here are some best practices to make it easier to navigate all of the records to review.
1
You have access to a toggle switch called "Summarize Items". This will group the same Provider and CPT codes with the same charge per unit. This way you only need to review the procedure once per provider.
2
When the "Summarize Items" switch is toggled off, you will see every record as a single line item in the Abacus CMS.
3
This is what the review page looks like when the tab is not summarized. See how all the individual records are listed below. You'll see a lot of the same descriptions, codes, charge amounts and units.
4
This is what the review sheet looks like when the tab is "Summarized". See how the Number of Units, Amount and UCR Amount are aggregated.
5
You can toggle this back and forth as needed
6
You also have the ability to only display records that have an Empty or Null UCR Amount.\ \ This helps ensure that you dont figure to value any records during your review. Toggle this "Empty UCR Amounts Only" to only show the remaining records to review.
7
This is what the review sheet looks like when you use the "Empty UCR Amounts Only" switch.\ \ See how the CMS took over 100 line items and reduced the view to only three line items.
