New NICOR Website Explainer

Welcome to the new nicorlighting.com. This guide shows how to compare products, save items to project lists, and use the design tools in the NICOR portal — plus how to find local utility rebates and connect with a sales agent. Follow along in order, or jump to any tool from the menu. You'll need to be logged in to use most features.

Catalog — Family & SKU views

The catalog has two views. **Family** displays product families and series; **SKU** view drills into individual part numbers. Switch anytime with the toggle, top-right.

Open the product catalog.

Click "SKU" to see the SKU catalog.

Toggle back to "Family" to see the family catalog.

Open the Product Category filter.

Choose a category.

Open another filter (for example, Wattage.)

Drag the slider to set your range.

*Found something worth keeping? Save it to a list.*

Lists

Lists let you save and organize products — by project, by quote, or just as favorites.

Click here.

Choose "Create new list."

Click the new list name field.

Name your list (e.g. "My Project").

Save the product to your list.

Tip! You can view your Lists under Settings > Saved Lists, where you can View/Edit, Print, or Delete your lists.

Comparison

Comparison puts up to three products side by side. See every spec, or switch to differences only — then jump to any product's full details.

Open the comparison tray.

Tick a product to compare.

*Tip! You can compare Family or SKU, depending on which catalog you are currently viewing.*

Add a second product.

Add a third product.

View the comparison (3 of 3 selected).

Switch to Show Differences to see only what differs.

Switch back to Show All Specs for the full picture.

Configurator

The configurator builds an exact part number from your specifications. Choose your options and the part number updates live.

Open a configurable product.

Choose your specifications

Your part number updates automatically as you choose.

Save your configured product.

Add it to your list (e.g. "My Project").

Documents

Each product page has a **Downloads** section — spec sheets, install guides, sell sheets, IES files and more. One click opens the file.

Scroll down to the product's Downloads section.

Click on the document you want.

*Tip: You can get a Submittal Spec Sheet generated based on a SKU you get from the product configurator tool, in addition to the Family Spec Sheet.*\ \ *That covers the product tools. The next three live under the **Tools** menu — starting with Lighting Layout.*

Lighting Layout

The Lighting Layout tool helps you plan a space with NICOR fixtures. Set your room dimensions, pick a fixture, and see the layout and light levels. For outdoor or complex jobs, request a custom layout.

Open the Tools menu.

Choose Lighting Layout.

Launch the lighting layout tool.

Open the fixture selector.

Choose a NICOR fixture.

Open the room dimensions panel.

Double-click a dimension field (e.g. Width).

Enter a dimension (e.g. 40).

See the layout update — fixture count and light levels.

For more complex jobs, open Custom Lighting Layout.

Request a custom layout — Send Us Your Project Details.

Rebate Finder

The Rebate Finder shows Energy Star® and DLC® qualified products with rebates available in a given area — handy for competitive quotes and showing payback.

Open the Rebate Finder from the Tools menu.

Choose a luminaire category.

Pick a product type (e.g. Downlight Surface Mount).

Double-click the Zip Code field.

Enter a zip code (e.g. 87111).

Open the utility field.

Select your local utility.

Click here to select a program type.

Choose a program type, e.g. "Instant".

Open a product from the results.

View its rebate details.

Agent Locator

*The Agent Locator maps NICOR sales representatives by area. Search a location to find the right agent and their contact details.*

Open the Agent Locator from the Tools menu.

View the nationwide agent search results.

Explore the map.

Open an agent's pin for details.

Close the agent info window.

Click the Search Agent field. You can search by Agent Name or Territory.

Search for an agent (e.g. "apex").

Open an agent to see their full contact details.
