This guide provides a step-by-step process for applying for Unit-Level Honors. It simplifies the application procedure, ensuring that applicants and nominators can easily navigate the online platform and understand the requirements to complete their applications or nomination packets.

Click "Start Unit-level Prize or Award Nomination"

Click "Click here to begin a new Submission"

Select the category dropdown to select your desired unit from the available units.

In the second dropdown, please select unit-level honor you wish to apply for (or nominate another individual for).

Click "Save and Next" to begin the application.

Optional demographics may be completed at the applicant's discretion. **Individual's demographic data is never shared**, per APS privacy policies; however, aggregate data of all applicants can be shared with the Selection Committee after the conclusion of the award cycle, upon request, to inform future solicitation efforts. Completing this information is always optional, and applicants should not feel pressured to complete it.

Select "Save and Next" to access the next part of the application.

Complete the application. The name and email fields will auto-populate based on your APS membership profile. Starred fields are required and the application cannot be submitted and finalized if they are not completed.

To submit the finalized application, select "Save and Finalize." If you wish to save your progress and return later to complete it, you may select "Save." Applications will not be considered complete and eligible for consideration if the applicant does not hit "Save and Finalize." To return to incomplete applications, applicants will need to return to the initial application page and select "Click here to review your past Submission(s)" then select "In Progress."

Applicants can confirm their application has been submitted by returning to the initial application page and selecting "Click here to review your past Submission(s)." If submitted, their application will show under the "Completed" tab. Alternatively, they can contact [honors@aps.org](mailto:honors@aps.org) for confirmation of submission.
