1
From the left-hand navigation bar, go to "Marketing"
2
Click "Automations"
3
Click "COD Order Verification"
4
First, let’s set the message delay. This decides how soon the message should be sent after a COD order is placed.
5
Next, select the Message Template you want to use.
6
For now, we’ll use one of the default pre-approved templates available in your DelightChat account.
7
Next, let’s map the right values for the variables in your template.
8
Choose *Customer First Name* for Variable 1, *Brand Name* for Variable 2, and *Order ID* for Variable 3.
9
Then choose *Order Total* for Variable 4, *Line Items in Order* for Variable 5, and *Shipping Address* for Variable 6
10
If you'd like to send a second COD follow-up message, check this box.
11
These are tags that will be added to your Shopify for the COD order accordingly, when the customer clicks any of the buttons in the message
12
Decide after how many hours we should consider the message a *No Response*. Maximum allowed is 48 hours.
13
Select which button click should create a ticket in DelightChat so you can take action accordingly
14
If you want to send the *Order Confirmation* message (which you may have set as another automation) when the customer clicks *Confirm Order*, check this box.
15
Select which button corresponds to *Order Confirmed* and which button corresponds to *Order Cancelled*.
16
If you want the order to be automatically cancelled when a customer clicks the *Cancel* button, check this box: *Cancel order in Shopify if the customer chooses the “Cancel Order” button*.
17
Here, you can set the auto-reply message that will be sent when the order is cancelled
18
If you do not want your customers to be able to cancel the order once it’s fulfilled, check this box: *Do not cancel order in Shopify if the order status is “Fulfilled”*.
19
Here, you can set the auto-reply message that will be sent when the order cannot be cancelled because it is already fulfilled
20
Then, enable the automation.
21
Click "Save"
22
Then, when you want to see how many COD confirmation messages were sent in a particular time period, click *COD Order Verification*
23
Click "Performance"
