Customize Incident Severity Names

This guide shows you how to change the default names for incident severity levels. Customizing these labels (e.g., from 'Critical' to 'P1') helps align the platform with your team's internal terminology, making reports and filters more intuitive. You must have admin permissions to perform this action.

From the **Categories** page, click the **Settings** icon at the bottom of the taxonomy list.

In the **Settings** window that appears, find the **Incident Severity** section and click **Rename**.

Enter your desired custom names into the editable text fields for **Critical**, **High**, and **Low**. Click **Save** to apply your changes.

Each severity name has a maximum length of 20 characters.
