How To Create a Student Account on VitalSource

Follow this guide to create a VitalSource student account, select your institution, and verify your email address.

Account Registration

Navigate to <https://login.vitalsource.com/?context=bookshelf&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Fbookshelf.vitalsource.com%2Fhome%2Fdashboard&brand=bookshelf.vitalsource.com&method=universal&auth_host=bookshelf.vitalsource.com&auth_protocol=https%3A>

Click "Create a VitalSource Account"

Click "I'm a Student"

Complete the form with your First Name, Last Name, email address and a preferred password.

After reviewing the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, which will each open in a new tab, click the “I agree to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy” checkbox.

Click "Create Account"

Institution Details

VitalSource will ask you to confirm institution details. CSU and Semester at Sea students should select "Higher Ed" as the option that best describes your institution. Search for "**Colorado State University - Fort Collins**" in the Institution Name field.

Semester at Sea students should select "**Colorado State University**" if Semester at Sea is not an option.

Click "Submit"

VitalSource will send an email to the email address provided at registration.

Email Verification

Navigate to your preferred email website or app, and look for an email with the subject line "Please Verify Your VitalSource Account"

Click the link marked "Verify Email"

After verifying your email address, your account is active and ready to redeem eBooks as needed.
