Showit Accessibility: Links

This guide provides a step-by-step process for checking and enhancing link accessibility in Showit. Viewing this guide can help you create a more engaging and accessible online experience that gives everyone more context. We'll be using Chrome, a free Chrome extension, called Silktide, and Showit.

Showit

Silktide

Navigate to your website (here's my [demo page](https://brandgirlsdemo.com/blog))

Click on the Silktide Extension

Choose Focus Order (yes, focus order, not links, trust me 😂 )

Evaluate the Link Text. It should tell you exactly where that link will go. If it does, great! If not, continue.

Open a new tab, log into Showit

Navigate to the Canvas that needs to be changed (in this case the "Blog" in the "Site" tab)

Click on the element to be updated (in this case, the image)

Because we don't need the link here, we'll remove it in the "Click Actions" panel by changing the type to none.

Click on the link to be updated.

Add context to the link text. In this case from "Read More" to "Read Shift Your Mindset"

Click "Publish"

Repeat until complete

Click "Publish"

Click "Close"

Switch to tab with your website and refresh

Click on the Silktide Extension

Choose Focus Order

You did it!
