Mac Users: Install BIGapp using devtools from Github

Copy the entire code chunk below:\ \ if (!require("BiocManager", quietly = TRUE))\ install.packages("BiocManager")\ install.packages("remotes") BiocManager::install("Breeding-Insight/BIGapp", dependencies = TRUE)

Open the "Terminal" or RStudio on your device.

Type "R" [[Enter.]]

Paste the copied code chunk from above and press [[Enter.]]

BIGapp will now begin installation. If this is your first time using R, it could take several minutes to complete. Once R shows you that installation is compete you can move on to step 5.

Note: There could be some user prompts in the terminal that ask whether or not you would like to update your R packages, you can likely select the option "n" to proceed without updating or chose a if you would like all the updates to run.

After installation, type "BIGapp::run_app()" [[Enter]]\ Please note, do not include the quotation marks when copying over to R.

BIGapp will now appear in a new Tab in your default internet browser.

Now that BIGapp is installed, anytime that you would like to open a new session, just repeat the command in step 5 above!
