How To Use The Tillex Pricing Wizard

Use this step-by-step guide to set your Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and adjust profit margins in one place. Once complete, Tillex updates both your EPOS and Webstore with a single click.

In the Tillex Partner Center, select "Inventory".

Tip! Watch the supporting video (find the link in - Tillexians Members Group).

In the Inventory Catalogue select a category you wish to edit COGS.

Click "PRICING" to open the Pricing Wizard.

Welcome to the "Pricing Wizard" where you can easily see all parameters needed to update COGS.

Click "Pricing mode" to view options. - retail price (*regular fixed price, - set in Inventory)* - sales catalogue *(varied price, quantity - set in Sales Category)* - cost plus *(smart price from delivery legacy data - set by Tillex, merchants accept the recommendation by stating margins desired and clicking the green tick)*

Tip! View COGS in the Inventory "Catalogue" Best practise is to book in a Delivery where data input will inform this view.

Next, choose how you want to set the costing basis.

Now decide which calculation method you wish to use to generate the COGS.

Margins update automatically based on your selected settings, and will recalculate whenever you adjust the retail price.

Add a constant amount to each product to cover fixed overheads.\ For example, adding £0.10 per item helps ensure staff wages and operational costs are covered.

Enter 0.09 to automatically round your prices so they end in .9 - for example, £1.49.

Set VAT at correct band.

Note: if using "Calc price", click the green tick to accept a suggested price.

When all parameters are set, click "Update Prices" to update your EPOS and Webstore with a single click.
