You will need two windows open to make this easiest; (1) DSB Main Website (be on VPN and login) to [https://degroote.mcmaster.ca/wp-admin/](https://degroote.mcmaster.ca/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=dsb_profile)then navigate to<https://degroote.mcmaster.ca/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=dsb_profile> (2) DSB's YouTube <https://www.youtube.com/@degrootebiz/videos>
1
Click the "Search Profiles:" field.
2
Search for your faculty member. In this case I would type "[[hassank]]" for Khaled. If you have trouble finding them you can use the directory <https://degroote.mcmaster.ca/contact/directory/> to search their name and enter the profile that way by using "[[edit profile]]".
3
Enter the profile by clicking the name "hassank"
4
Scroll to the very bottom as you will be editing the "[[FER Video Carousel Repeater]]" fields.
Switching over to YouTube, you will see a variety of video options that include our Faculty and Researchers. If you wish, you can collect the [[Video Name]] and [[URL ]]information all at once ahead of time... or one-by-one. Up to you.
5
Switch to tab "DeGroote School of Business - YouTube" and find your matching video.
6
Select the title of "[[Celebrating 20 years of The Directors College | DeGroote School of Business]]" and Press [[ctrl]] + [[c ]]to copy the title.
Switch to tab "Edit Profile “hassank” ‹ DeGroote School of Business — WordPress"
7
Click the "[[Title \*]]" field and press [[ctrl]] + [[shift ]]+ [[v]] to paste the title without formatting.
Head back over to YouTube.
8
Click "[[Share]]".
9
Select the [[Embed ]]option.
10
You will copy over all of the text, but only end up using the URL that is contained within [[src="\\\______________________\_\\\_"]] you remove everything before and after the quotations [["]]
11
Click the "[[URL \*]]" field and paste in the total copy
12
Delete everything after (and including) [[" title=\___\_]] that is at the end of the URL link. And the same for everything before (and including) [[src="]]
13
You should end up with a clean URL that starts with [[http://www.youtube.com/embed/]]
14
Click "Save"
15
Preview the profile once saved.
16
Scroll to the video section and tab through the rotator to ensure they are showing properly.
Congrats you are all done!
Troubleshooting! If the video is not showing you need to double check your URL. One without [[http://www.youtube.com/embed/]] as a lead-in will not work. And it is so easy to delete a character at the end - so always check that first.
