Add a Training to Your Calendar

This document provides step-by-step instructions on how to add a CII training to your calendar using different calendar services like Google Calendar and Outlook Calendar.

Once you have registered for a CII training ([see registration instructions here](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1lO2h-BtpSU4PIuTcg6BMwc2muZtau0Od3uznEvlOFbY/edit#heading=h.5u5u39gpcxyz)) you are given the option to add the training to your calendar. You can do this from the registration approved page that follows after clicking register or from the email confirmation you received.

Click on the ‘Add to calendar’ link then select the calendar of your choice. (Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar and Yahoo Calendar)

**Google Calendar** - Selecting this option will take you to a ‘Sign in with Google’ page. You will need to log in with your Google account in order to utilize this option. For example, [student@mail.umassglobal.edu](mailto:student@mail.umassglobal.edu) is a Google account.

Google will then ask if you will provide Zoom with permission to access your Google account. This is so that Zoom can add the calendar item to your Google Calendar. In order to proceed, you will need to select ‘Allow’. If you do not wish to proceed, click ‘Cancel’.

Once you press Allow, you will be taken to the event page for the training. On this page, scroll down to the Notification area and ensure your notification for this event is set to your preferences. (i.e. get notified 30 minutes before the training begins)

Click Save to add the training to your calendar.

**Outlook Calendar** - Selecting this option will prompt an iCalendar File to appear from which you can either Open or Save.

Clicking Open will allow you to modify the notification settings before saving it to your Outlook calendar. With the calendar invite open, change the reminder to your preferences. (i.e. get notified an hour before)
