How to Reset and Access Your Nunez Email Address

Follow this guide to successfully navigate the Nunez Community College password reset portal. Learn how to correctly input your username and complete the security verification process to regain/gain access to your account.

Navigate to [https://www.nunez.edu/](https://www.nunez.edu/)

Open Quick Links.

Click "Password Reset Tool"

Click "Forgot your password?"

Enter your LOLA Username and enter the text in the captcha box Most usernames are firstlast (Ex. janedoe)

Answer security questions.\ Then input the text in the captcha box. NOTE: If the security questions are not:\ What are the last four digits of your social security number?\ and\ What is your date of birth?\ \ Then check and ensure your username is correct, if it is correct then contact IT.

The format for entering your birthdate is MMDDYY, for example June 1st 1990 would be 060190.

Now reset your password. The password complexity requirements are as follows:\ Min of 8 characters\ Minimum of one uppercase character\ Minimum of one lowercase character\ Minimum of one special character (Ex. !, @, #. $, %)

Accessing Your Email Account

These are instructions on accessing your student email using a desktop computer. For instructions on how to access your email while using your phone skip the the mobile setup section of this guide.

From the "Nunez.edu" homepage. Click "Quick Links"

Click "Nunez Email"

At the Microsoft login page enter your student email address and the password you set in the previous step. (Sometimes the password will take up to 5 mins to work) Your student email address is your username@student.nunez.edu. Your username is your LOLA username. For an individual named jane doe, their student email would be janedoe@student.nunez.edu

If it is your first time accessing your email you will be prompted to set up two factor authentication (2FA). You should look like this. (See picture below) Click the next button until you are at a QR code.

Get the Microsoft Authenticator app. This app is free on both iOS and Android. The app should look like this. (This is the app as it appears on iOS, however it looks the same on android )

Once the Microsoft Authenticator app has been installed open the app and click "Add work or school account" and "Scan QR Code". Once you see your Nunez account within the app click next and enter the displayed number into the app on your device. You must scan the QR code from within the Authenticator app otherwise it will tell you that the QR code has no usable data.

Click on the 9 dots on the top left of the M365 Co-Pilot Page and select "Outlook"

Mobile Setup Instructions

After successfully resetting your password using the password reset tool, you may now log into your student email account. On mobile devices you would use the "Outlook" app. This app is free on both iOS and Android. (See Pic Below)

Open the "Outlook" app and login using your student email address and password. Your student email is your LOLA username@student.nunez.edu. (Ex. Jane Doe is janedoe@student.nunez.edu)\ If your password doesn't work immediately after a reset it may take up to 5 mins for it to work.

You should now be prompted to setup your 2FA and be asked to install the Microsoft Authenticator app. Once the app has been installed follow the on screen prompts to successfully complete 2FA setup.

Once 2FA has been successfully setup you should be brought to your Nunez Email addresses inbox.
