How to Create a Google Chat Space for Triton ULTRA (On-Prem) Alerts

Step 1: Create a New Chat in Google Chats

  1. Open Google Chat and click on “Create space” in the top-right corner.

  2. Name the new space, and choose announcements:

  3. Click Create to finalize.

  4. Click the drop down on your new space and choose space settings.

  5. Click "Generate email" and copy the new email to your clipboard

Step 2: Add the Email to SMTP Settings of Your ULTRA Sensor.

  1. Log in to the IP Address of the Sensor.

  2. Go to the Platform Integration > SMTP Settings.

  3. Click "Enable".

  4. Enter Your SMTP Settings (contact Triton support if you need help getting this):

    1. Email Provider: Choose your provider (if listed), or enter settings manually:

      For Gmail:

      For Outlook/Office365:

    2. Sender: Usually the same as your "User" email.

    3. Recipient: Enter the email address from Google Chat.

  5. Press Save.

  6. Press "Test" to verify functionality.

Step 3: Enable Alerts

  1. Navigate to Actions > Action Settings, then click "set" under email for the desired events (e.g., Vape, THC< Aggression, Tamper).

  2. Click the Save All button.

Step 4: Repeat for Additional Devices

  • Be sure to name each sensor under Device Settings > Device Info to be alerted to the correct sensor location.
