How to Create a Slack Channel for Triton Cloud Alerts

Step 1: Create a New Channel in Slack

  1. Open Slack and click on “Channels ” in the sidebar.

  2. Choose "Create Channel" under Create.

  3. Choose "Blank Channel" and click on Next

  4. Choose the following:

    • Channel name: (ex. triton-alerts)

    • Visibility: Public or Private based on your preference

  5. Click Create to finalize.

Step 2: Locate the Channel

Once created, navigate to your new channel listed in Channels:

Click into the Channel “e.g. Triton Alert Channel” to open the Channel page.

Step 3: Click on the "three dots" on the top right corner, and click on "Edit Settings"

Click on "Integrations" and choose "Send emails to this channel"

Copy the email address shown (e.g., <[email protected]>).

Step 4: Add the Email as a User in Triton Cloud˜

  1. Log in to Triton Cloud.

  2. Go to the User Management > Users section from the left menu.

  3. Click the “Create User” icon to add a new user.

  4. Input:

    • Name: Triton

    • Email: (Paste the Slack channel email)

    • Role: View Only

  5. Create the user entry.

Tip: You can optionally copy the alert rule to additional devices using the “Copy This Rule to The Following Devices” dropdown at the bottom of the Alert Settings window.
