Mastery Connect: Customizing Trackers

This guide provides step-by-step instructions on customizing trackers in Mastery Connect. It covers how to manually sort standards, create units, set power standards, and create sub standards. By following this guide, users can tailor their trackers to better suit their teaching needs and easily generate reports based on essential standards. Go to Trackers

Open the tracker you want to customize

Manually Sorting Standards

This feature allows you to put your standards in the order you will teach them.

Over over the standard, and click and drag the 4 arrows to manually sort them.

Creating Units

Click here

Name your unit

OPTIONAL: Give it a description

Select a color (you will see this in the tracker)

Expand all the standard descriptions here.

Collapse the descriptions here

Expand the standard individually with this arrow.

Collapse individually the same way

Select all the standards you want in this unit.

Click Save

Edit Units

Click here

Make your changes

Save Changes

Delete a Unit

Deleting a unit does not delete the standards from the tracker. It just ungroups them.

Click here

Click the "Edit" Icon next to the unit you want to delete.

Scroll Down and click "Delete This Unit"

Power/Essential Standards

Setting power standards allows you to run reports based on "Big Rocks" or Essential Standards

Hover your mouse on the standard and then click "Set as Power Standard"

Creating Sub Standards

Some standards have a lot build in. Creating Sub Standards allows you to break them up. This example is the 5th grade Standard NBT.7 which is adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing decimals.

The main standard will be an average of the proficiencies of the sub standards.

Hover your mouse of the standard and then click "Sub Standard"

Click here

Name: This will be what you can see in the grey box so make it short. In this case I want the standard to be Multiplying and Dividing decimals so I'm going to use the symbols "x/ Dec"

Short Description will show up with you hover over the Name in the tracker in this case I want to know this is "Multiplying and Dividing Decimals"

Large Description box is optional

This allows you to apply this sub standard to multiple trackers if you want. If you don't want to do that, deselect this.
