Zapier Integrations How-To

In this scribe you can learn how to automate sending processes by using integrations on Zapier. For exemplary purposes we will be showing you how to send videos when customers abandon their cart.

Before We Start

Before proceeding to integrations we suggest generating a sample video to test out the template video you have recorded.

Integration

Make sure you give your template a name by clicking the pencil icon and writing a name for your project for our example we will use "cart recovery". Hit enter to save it.

To start your integration you have to go to the "Let's add your data" panel and click "Connect your source" to browse our Zapier integrations.

Scroll down and search for the platform you would like to use for integrating your data, for our example we will be using Shopify.

Then click "Create your own workflow".

Select Shopify as your Trigger app.

Click "New Abandoned Cart".

Click "Continue"

Select your Shopify account.

Click "Continue"

If you would like the email to be sent as soon as a customer abandons their cart set the Abandoned Cart Age to 0, meaning the trigger will take effect as soon as abandon cart takes place.

Shopify typically has a 5-10 minute delay between the moment a cart is actually abandoned, and the moment BHuman is notified.

Click "Test trigger"

Click "Continue"

Select BHuman as your Action app.

Select New Video as the event

Click "Continue"

Click "+ Connect a new account" to connect your BHuman account to Zapier and choose the account that contains your template video.

To get your Zapier keys, navigate to Settings on the BHuman platform. You can get there by clicking on the App Switcher icon on the top left and clicking Settings.

Click on Zapier.

Click Generate, and copy the keys into Zapier.

Paste the keys into Zapier

Click "Continue"

Search for your template, in our case we named it "cart recovery"

Connect the "Customer First Name" field from Shopify into the "name" field of BHuman

Click "Continue"

Click "Test action"

Having automated the video generation process now you will have to add a 3rd step to automate sending the video to your customer.

In this case, we'll be using Gmail

Click Send Email

Click "Continue"

Connect or select your mail address.

Click "Continue"

In the "To" field, enter the customer's email from Shopify.

Select the email you're sending from.

Enter the "From Name".

Enter your subject, see a recommended subject below.

Click Body Type > HTML.

Copy and paste this HTML code into your body. Hey {{first_name}}, Thanks for your interest in {{product_name}}! I actually designed this piece, so I wanted to personally reach out and see if you had any questions: <a href="{{video_url}}"><img alt="" height="180px" src="{{thumbnail}}" width="320px" /></a> <a href="{{video_url}}">Watch here</a> Talk soon, <Don> Replace the tags with info from BHuman and Shopify. This will embed your video as an image with a link in the email. From there, you can make additional changes to your messaging and publish your Zap.

Click "Continue"

Click "Test action"

By clicking Test Action, an email will sent to the sample data you were using from Shopify. In this email, the video will not be embedded. This is because Zapier has the value "generating" for the video link & thumbnail. These are placeholder values meant to set up the app. In practice, once the Zap is triggered, BHuman will take a few minutes to generate the video, and return that video to Zapier. Zapier will wait until this is done before continuing. So, even if your video does not look embedded in the test email, it will be in practice.

Click "Publish Zap"

Click "Publish & Turn On"

Congratulations! Our AI will now clone your face and voice and send personalized videos to abandoned carts created from Shopify!
