There are two main sections to complete:
**Add New Security Roles**: a role specifies what you need to be able to do within UCPath. Each role needs to be added as a new row. There are different levels of role access:
- **Inquiry:** you just need access to look at data in UCPath.
- **Initiator:** you need to be able to make changes in UCPath.
- **Approver:** you need to be able to approve changes in UCPath.
- **Admin:** allows the user to submit updates to UCPath without an approval step. Admin access is extremely limited in distribution.
**Note**: Initiator and Approver roles require UCPath Training before access is approved.
---
**Add New Orgs:** this determines the row-level security you need in UCPath, or put another way, the departments you need access to.
**Notes**:
- If you serve multiple departments, you will need to add a new row per department.
- There is a hierarchical relationship between departments, and access to a node also grants access to the child nodes. For example, access to an L2 department node will also grant access to its child L3, L4, L5, and L6 nodes.
