How to Enter Attendance (Playbook)

This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to take attendance using the Playbook app. It explains how to locate the class roster, select the correct date and schedule, mark attendance for those present, and enter headcount information.

When entering attendance, the app is constantly updating in real-time. You can have multiple people taking attendance for a bible study group, and they will be able to see who has been checked in by other leaders.\ **All leaders in your group can enter attendance in the Playbook app.**

How to Take Attendance in the Playbook App

Open the SBC Playbook App and select **Groups** in the lower right-hand corner.

Select your desired group if you are a leader in multiple groups.

Click on **Attendance** in the upper left-hand corner

If you are under your **Roster,** you can also select the **Take Attendance** option on the bottom of your mobile screen.

The **Take Attendance** menu allows you to do the following: 1. Enter Headcounts 2. Track Attendance

If you did not meet for the week or weekend, select the option **We Did Not Meet** and click on **Save**

Under Attendance, there are two tabs: All and Present\ \ **All:** This option will show everyone that is currently on the roster\ **Present:** Once you start marking people, they will also appear under the Present tab.\ \ To mark members as present, just select their name and it will highlight them. It will automatically also put them under the **Present** tab. Once you have marked everyone, hit **save**.

Once you have marked people as present, it will also put them into the **Present** tab. \ \ If you want to see who is present, select the tab and you can go through the list quickly to verify attendance and remove anyone who accidently got selected. If you accidently mark someone as present, just click on their name again to de-select them and it will un-mark them as present and remove their name from the Present Tab.

How to Enter Headcounts

From the Attendance Tab, you can enter in the total headcount for your class.\ \ Navigate to your desired attendance roster and select **Enter Headcounts**.

From this Menu, enter and verify the following information: 1. **Group**: Make sure that you are under the right Bible Study Group 2. **Group Campus:** This will reflect the Campus that the Bible Study Group is part of. 3. **Date:** Enter in the date of the Headcount 4. **Service:** From this menu, navigate to your campus and select the appropriate time that you are meeting 5. **Meeting Attendees:** Enter in the total amount of attendance. This should be everyone in the room whether they are listed on the group or not. This must be equal to or greater than the count of people checked in through the app. 6. **Meeting New Members:** Enter the total amount of New Members that joined during this class. 7. **Meeting Visitors:** Enter in the total amount of visitors that attended your class. This number should include all visitors whether listed on the attendance page or attending for the first time.

How to take Attendance By E-mail

Before the class starts, select leaders will receive an email with the link to take attendance. For Adult Bible Study, individuals in the following roles will receive the attendance emails: Director, Teacher, Communications Team Leader, Records Team Leader, and Small Group Leader. Using the link in the email, leaders may take attendance for the class. This works as described above but does not require you to have the app downloaded or have created an account on [my.second.org](http://my.second.org).
