How to Distribute “Report a Concern” Link
Overview

As part of the COA Accreditation process, transparency and stakeholder engagement are essential. One key step is ensuring that all stakeholders—persons served, staff, board members, and community partners—have the opportunity to share any concerns directly with the COA volunteer peer review team. To support this, organizations are expected to share the “Report a Concern” link or QR code with all relevant stakeholders. This helps ensure that the review team receives input that may be valuable during the Site Visit.

COA's Evaluation and Actions Regarding this Process
COA has a standing **Report a Concern** process. We evaluate concerns based on whether they represent a violation of our standards. In this case, the primary difference is that we are asking you to make the report a concern link public to your stakeholders prior to the site visit. All submitted concerns will be reviewed by COA staff to determine if they indicate a potential standards violation. If they do, the relevant standards will receive increased focus during the site visit to ensure compliance.
What it Needs to Say
6
This is a publication to make the stakeholders aware of the Report a Concern process that has existed in the COA process for many years. It should be a posted code of email offering stakeholders an opprotunity to "report a concern" or "make a complaint", one of these two phrases should be used when distributing the contact information.
