We are glad to be on this journey with you! Are you ready to bring Scribo into your classroom?
The following five key playbooks will provide an all-you-need crash course into your new Scribo classroom.
Logging into Scribo
Setting up classes, students and teacher accounts
Creating your first writing activity for your students
Monitoring and managing student progress
Providing teacher feedback
Here are the different ways you can log in:
Using your teacher email address and password.
Using Microsoft or Google if your school/college is integrated using Single Sign - On (SSO) - a quick login method that does not require the creation of another password.
When you log into your Scribo community for the first time, you are offered a tour around the system. The goal of the tour is to get your first writing activity underway, load your students and classes and get you 'write' into a new way of extending English writing skills.
The in-house tour takes you through 10 different step-by-step guides to get you acquainted with the platform. At any point you wish to leave the tour, click on the 'X' button.
Whenever you need, you can restart the tour from the 'Tour' button on the right side menu as shown in the image below.
Ever so often, teachers play the administrative role of setting up/archiving classes (even the special ones), adding/removing students and collaborating with fellow teachers by adding them into the school community.
If your classes, students and teachers are not already set up for you in your school community, you may refer to the following steps for help:
Sending invitations via email
Uploading a CSV file
Sync up with Google Classroom and Microsoft Teams
Teachers already using Google Classroom and Microsoft Teams in their classrooms can sign in via Google or Microsoft, then click on the 'Menu' on the side bar to sync.
With new colleagues joining the school or onboarding their classes to become Scribo classrooms, you may add him/her via the following steps.
With your classes and students all set up and roaring to go, you can now create your first writing activity to engage your students.
Scribo for students and teachers is an identical experience to the pen and paper. Except, teachers get to see the whole class, across all texts in progress.
After assigning the writing activity, your students are ready to get cracking!
Invite your students to log into their Scribo accounts and work on the writing activities you have set up.
After viewing the feedback given by the AI to your students and what they have done with the feedback, you may like to add more feedback and some actionable items for your students.
Whenever you find you need a refresher, click on the 'Tour' icon again!
All the significant steps you need to get your school up and running are explained in short and simple two-minute videos.
