The Recommendations tab houses SupportAssist’s guidance for optimizing your PC fleet’s performance. The tab relies on data collected by SupportAssist during your regular scheduled scans. To get the most out of the guidance in the tab, make sure to run these scans consistently.

Self-Healing Image Recovery is a solution that enables you to remotely manage the image recovery preferences for your PCs from a single location. The recovery environment includes diagnostic and troubleshooting tools that can address potential issues before the PC boots to the operating system.

Data Erase empowers your organization's IT administrator to address their most critical concerns and requirements - by erasing data safely and securely.

Organizing your PCs into different groups can help with performing tasks, keeping track of PCs and division of duties based on location or employee role. 

Groups Definition: 
A group is a logical entity of PCs within a site. You can create groups to organize the PCs during deployment or in TechDirect. You can create one or more groups and organize your PCs within a site, but you cannot move PCs across groups in different sites.

We want to give you the context and knowledge to understand your overview dashboard, read the information, and get the most out of this view. This lesson will walk you through the dashboard and how to read and interpret the information.

Custom update catalogs allow for remote software updates management and gives you granular control. You can create catalogs based on the product series, fleet, or model number of your PCs. Choose updates based on drivers, BIOS, firmware, application software and utilities, and select updates based on criticality level. You have full customization control of your updates.

You can access, organize and manage your company's fleet here. A quick view of your fleet's performance, health, utilization, service contracts, group information helps you understand how your fleet is performing and what actions are required to keep it running optimally. You also have the ability to export your data and filter the data to your desired time frame.

You can manage alerts generated by SupportAssist manually, or you can forward the alerts to Dell or to a configured external solution. To view the alert details and manage them manually, go to the Alerts page in TechDirect.

Walk-through the settings options in your SupportAssist for Business PCs experience. Settings include: inventory identifiers, alert rules, PC update source, roles and permission and connecting SupportAssist alerts with an external solution.
