In this help page, we're going to show you how you can upload and manage information across your data catalogues within the CoPerceptuo platform, enabling insights that go beyond any other platform.
Within the CoPerceptuo platform we aggregate information from various sources and store these in catalogues. Catalogues can be organised into three types:
Assets, Applications & Data - These list the assets, applications and data sources that are present in your IT landscape. They cover everything from physical devices through to applications, data sources and reports.
Organisation Structure & People - These cover how the organisation is structured, the departments, business services, functions and people roles and skills that make up the workforce who work across the organisation.
Project, Commercial and Finance - These cover non tangible information such as projects, budgets, contracts and suppliers. They aim to provide context to the IT landscape in how they're purchased, how they're implemented and how much they cost.
Data catalogues can consist of both qualitative and quantitive information but importantly, they have a unique set of linkages between them to drive context on which to gain insights into how your IT service is operating and how it fits into the wider enterprise.
There are currently four ways of populating catalogues:
API's - Application Programmer Interfaces, providing secure connectivity into systems such as IT service management systems, cloud providers and other sources of catalogue information.
Online Editing - Editing the catalogues online by entering and changing the values in the fields directly online in each catalogue.
CSV Uploads - We have a downloadable template for each catalogue and simple to use upload mechanism that helps map the column in the CSV to each column in the catalogue. Adding context is easy. Adding information in one catalogue that links to another, automatically populates all relevant catalogues in the model.
Questionnaires - For every record there is the option to gather information from an end user or stakeholder who might hold the information. For more information on this see Surveys and Questionnaires.
The following provides a number of step-by-step walkthroughs in populating, editing and uploading data as part of the catalogues within the platform:
