The file of students, ages 17-21, earning a state diploma or GED through an Adult Education program between July 1st and August 19th will be posted anually through the state website. Student IDs, where available, and date of birth are on the file to help identify students. The name of the school where previously enrolled is also included if available. Some of the students on this file may have been included in previous Adult Education files. This file from the Office of Adult Education can be used to update student records in PowerSchool.

The Adult Education file provides documentation that a student who transferred into Adult Education and is a member of the 2024 four-year cohort (9GR=21) earned their high school diploma from Adult Education within four years of entering 9th grade.

PowerSchool coding: Diploma Earned = Z and Adult Education Graduation Date = date diploma was awarded. The Adult Education Graduation Date is used to determine if the four-year cohort student graduated prior to the third Monday in August 2024.

Lastly, if you go back to the Blackboard Folder, "Adult Education Powerschool" under, "High School Only." You will find a South Carolina Department of Education Manual sharing more information pertaining to this matter.
