Open Trimble Business Center and create a new project using a US Survey Foot template.
Drag and drop your control point .csv and design files into Trimble Business Center.
Select your .csv point file definition format.
This will create a Project origin for your design files to be placed referencing that projection.
You will now see your design linework and control points on your screen.
Save your Project in Trimble Business Center.
Select the F9 key on your keyboard or go to Project Settings through the gear cog icon.
Look at any .pdf reference files that may contain coordinate system information from the initial survey or selectively guess the system and set it in your Project Settings.
Apply the Background Map making it visible using a Satellite or Street View map.
Select the design data and points that you want to see in the .KML file, adjust your file setting preferences, then export .kml file to desired location.
The .kml file will open in Google Earth out of Trimble Business Center if you check the box.
Minimize Google Earth and generate a report to see what was exportable.
View the report keeping in mind that large designs may get exported out of Trimble Business Center but may not open in Google Earth because of the .kml file size. If this happens export .kml out of Trimble Business Center with just the basic linework features and control points.
.KML files can be used in Trimble Business Center which contain GIS attributes and linework data when viewing in Google Earth determinizing design features and utilities. Either exit Trimble Business Center without saving or save project and update project with a calibration file once it is performed unless you are intending to use the coordinate system and geoid selected in project settings.
In Google Earth open as a local .kml file by selecting the path to the file location on your phone or laptop then you can select points for information or see you location on the design which is helpful when performing calibrations or having site personnel prepare laydown and office trailer locations.
