The Public Holiday Management feature in HR allows organisations to create, edit, and manage public holidays. These holidays integrate seamlessly with the Time & Attendance function, ensuring accurate calculations for leave, overtime, and pay entitlements.
Add, edit, or delete public holidays as needed to reflect regional and national schedules.
Example holidays include:
25 Dec 2021: Christmas Day.
15 Apr 2022: Easter 2022.
25 Apr 2022: Ansac Day.
10 Aug 2022: Ekka Showground Day.
03 Oct 2022: Queen's Birthday.
01 Jan 2023: New Year's Day.
Integration with Time & Attendance
Public holidays created or edited here automatically flow through to the Time & Attendance function.
Ensures leave applications, overtime calculations, and payroll processes account for these dates accurately.
When editing a public holiday, you can update the following details:
Name
Example: Christmas Day.
Date and Time
Start Date: Set the starting date (e.g., 25 Dec 2021).
Start Time: Specify the start time (e.g., 12:00 AM).
End Date: Define the ending date (e.g., 26 Dec 2021).
End Time: Specify the end time (e.g., 12:00 AM).
Recurring Holiday
Enable this option to set the holiday as recurring annually.
Exempt from Standard Rate
Mark whether the holiday is exempt from the standard pay rate for employees.
Region and Location
Region: Specify applicable regions (e.g., National, State, ARM staff location).
Country: Choose the relevant country (e.g., Australia).
Add a Public Holiday
Navigate to the Public Holiday Management section.
Click Add Holiday, fill in the Name, Start/End Date, Start/End Time, and other details, then save.
Edit a Public Holiday
Select a holiday and click Edit Public Holiday.
Update the details (e.g., name, date, time, region) and save changes.
Delete a Public Holiday
Click Delete Public Holiday next to the relevant entry to remove it permanently.
Best Practices
Annual Updates: Review and update public holidays annually to reflect the latest regional and national holidays.
Recurring Holidays: Use the recurring option for consistent holidays (e.g., Christmas Day, Ansac Day).
