    Service Providers

First Time in the New System - Existing User

Service providers (also known as process agents) who have an existing account in the old system will need a login for the new ClearFleet system that is connected to your migrated information.

Manage Users - Service Provider Admin

Users with a Service Provider Admin role can add users to an existing account so multiple logins can manage the same carrier accounts.

NOTE: The first user of the account will have admin access by default and will be able to manage subsequent service provider users.

    Brand New Service Providers

Please contact Iowa DOT if you are a brand new service provider and would like to access the ClearFleet system. NOTE: Power of Attorney document must be provided for each carrier you intend to manage.

    Carriers

    Brand New Carrier Accounts

Before a service provider can be assigned to manage a brand new carrier's IRP or IFTA account, ensure the carrier completes the required paperwork. IFTA applications must be submitted directly to the Iowa DOT, IRP applications can be submitted online. NOTE: Even if the carrier submits their IRP online, a paper application is still required to be submitted to the Iowa DOT.

Once the required applications are submitted and credentials are in place (e.g. USDOT number for non-registrant IRP carriers, proof of residency, etc.), the carrier can create a ClearFleet account to submit their IRP registration application online.

The following guides are intended to assist carriers in their required steps of creating a user and creating an IRP account:

NOTE: Carriers must complete their applications and have ClearFleet accounts before a process agent within the ClearFleet system can be assigned to them and begin managing their accounts.
