Clever auto-creates classes for you!... Before the start of each school, Clever syncs data from Infinite Campus and creates your Google Classroom classes. Your student rosters sync nightly throughout the school year. When a new student enrolls (or drops), your Google Classroom roster is updated the next day... no codes, no hassle. Simply click the Accept button for each class.
After “accepting” your auto-rostered classes, identify each class with the current school year, term, and period. This will help you, and your students, recognize your specific class.
Label Each Class with the Year, Term, & PeriodNPAS recommends changing the following default settings for each class. Follow the TIP Sheet below to update the General and Grading sections.
Update the Default Class SettingsNPAS recommends sorting topics using Week: Month Date-Range date range to help students quickly find recent assignments. For example... Week 3: Sept 13-17 Help students quickly find today's lesson/assignment by moving the current week to the top of the Topics list.
Create a New TopicBy using a labeling system, students can find assignments in a logical order. You, as the teacher, can easily reuse assignments. In the example below, the number [5] is used to represent an assignment given in “Week 5” and the number after the decimal indicates the day of the week: Monday = [.1], Tuesday = [.2], Wednesday = [.3], Thursday = [.4], and Friday = [.5] (video tutorial)
Create a New AssignmentLimit the places where students need to click by attaching all the activity resources into one single assignment. For example, if the assignment requires students to watch a video, read an article, and write a 2-paragraph summary... The teacher should attach all the resources needed in one (1) single assignment. (video tutorial)
