Identify the type of process the SOP document covers, including its purpose, scope and priority. Define the limitations employees should adhere to when completing the process.
Provide links to essential documents HR professionals might need to complete the SOPs. For example:
Compliance regulations.
Company policies.
Best practices and guidelines.
Checklists.
Tools.
Outline the steps required to complete the task from beginning to end. Keep instructions concise and straightforward so the document doesn’t become too complex. If a step requires multiple sub-steps, consider creating a separate SOP.
