SOP for Creating a Webhook in Airtable and Running a Test in Zapier
In this SOP, we will guide you through the process of creating a webhook in Airtable and running a test in Zapier. This guide assumes that you have already set up an account with Airtable and Zapier.
1. Open your Airtable account and navigate to the base where you want to create the webhook.
2. Click on the “Help” menu and select “API Documentation” from the drop-down menu.
3. Click on the “Webhooks” tab and then click on the “Create a webhook” button.
4. In the “Create a webhook” dialog box, enter a name for your webhook and the URL of the Zapier webhook.
5. Select the type of events you want to trigger the webhook and click on the “Create” button.
Now you have successfully created a webhook in Airtable. The next step is to run a test in Zapier to ensure that the webhook is working properly.
6. Open your Zapier account and navigate to the Zap where you want to test the webhook.
7. Click on the “+” button and select “Webhooks by Zapier” from the app list.
8. Select the “Catch Hook” trigger and click on the “Save + Continue” button.
9. Copy the URL provided by Zapier and go back to Airtable.
10. In the “Webhook” dialog box, click on the “Test Trigger” button.
11. Paste the URL you copied from Zapier into the “Test Webhook” dialog box and click on the “Test Webhook” button.
If everything is working properly, you should see a successful test in Zapier. Congratulations, you have successfully created a webhook in Airtable and run a test in Zapier!
