The Cut Flower Module gives you a centralized place to track harvest, quality, and sales performance for your dahlias. Whether you're growing for market or just want to understand your garden better, this tool gives you the insights you need.

What This Module Helps You Do

    • Track harvest dates and quantities

    • Record quality metrics like vase life and stem strength

    • Monitor productivity with stems per harvest and per season

    • Log sale prices for customers

    • Get insights into what performs best over time

To get started, navigate to the Cut Flower Tab in Clade.

All of your dahlia varieties will be pulled in automatically from the Planting Module—no need to re-enter them.

This page contains multiple columns for you to work with. Here’s a breakdown of key fields and what they’re used for:

    Harvest Dates

Enter your harvest dates to track how long it takes between plantings and harvests. This helps you evaluate timing and performance per variety.

    Stems per Harvest

This lets you measure productivity for each picking. Over time, you’ll see which varieties yield more stems consistently.

    Stems per Season

Track total stems harvested across the entire season for each variety—a great indicator of overall productivity.

    Vase Life & Stem Strength

Use these to assess harvest quality. Record how long each variety lasts post-harvest and the sturdiness of its stems.

    Sales & Pricing

If you’re selling, you can use the following columns:

    • Price per stem

    • Wholesale vs. Retail Price

    • Filters to sort by pricing

    Filtering

Use filters to view and compare prices or customer-specific data. You can access the module filters at the top of the page.

    Tips & Best Practices

    • Add Notes: Record observations or issues with specific harvests.

    • Track Over Time: The more consistent your entries, the better your seasonal reporting will be.

    • Use Filters: Narrow pricing and location to surface insights quickly.

    • Customize Fields: Use View Settings to toggle fields on/off to match your workflow.
