First and foremost, we want to welcome you to the platform and thank you for partnering with us! We’re ecstatic that you have chosen us as your trusted partner and want to ensure that we make the process as smooth as possible.
NanoKard aims to provide a unique and industry leading experience for merchants, and as an ISO/Agent, you are a representative of the brand. In order to help amplify your success, let’s talk about some of the amazing features that NanoKard has to offer.
NanoKard is a PCI and SOC-2 compliant payment platform that offers ACH, bulk ACH and even an automated ACH withdraw option. It is also a completely cashless operating system so merchants don’t have to deal with the hassle of keeping money on hand. NanoKard allows merchants to manage their wallets for risk, chargebacks, and processing all in one portal.
One of the most important merchant facing features that NanoKard offers through the portal, is a full back-office reporting suite for accounting purposes. As many business owners may be familiar with, dealing with accounting can be both costly and time consuming. NanoKard built this accounting software into the platform to help alleviate additional outside costs for merchants. It is critical to note that transaction fees are deducted in real-time, versus traditional processors who tend to batch these fees in large monthly deductions.
In addition to all the great features that NanoKard has to offer, all data that is processed on the platform is unalterable and thoughtfully stored. Compared to traditional payment processors, NanoKard’s blockchain secure checkout experience and live ledger lend themselves to be a more secure process.
Merchants have full control over the features in their wallets, which gives them the ability to give others access to their wallet(s) and assign permissions at their discretion. This helps merchants in dividing and conquering daily tasks. On the flip side, if merchants do not want to manage their wallet themselves, they have the ability to attach a management company to manage the wallet on their behalf.
NanoKard also offers customer support 7-days a week, should any issues or questions arise for your merchants. We’re there when we’re needed and always have a friendly support agent standing by to help solve any potential problems.
Now that you have a brief run-down of the main features and how NanoKard truly helps alleviate some of the business headaches, spend some time with the information below and familiarize yourself with the platform.

Every new merchant that is interested in processing payments on the NanoKard platform must fill out a NanoKard Merchant Application initiated by you, the ISO/Agent. The form is an online Jotform accessible via the link below. The application is intended to ensure that the NanoKard team knows who is transacting on the NanoKard platform, and that we fully understand the merchant's business practices to ensure that we are operating within financial industry merchant processing rules and regulations.
NanoKard Application Link: NanoKard Merchant Application ***DO NOT SEND THIS LINK DIRECTLY TO THE MERCHANT***
As a NanoKard ISO/Agent, it is your responsibility to send NanoKard applications to your merchants. The NanoKard team does recommend that you complete the application in its entirety on behalf of the merchant to ensure accuracy (excluding merchant signature). Once you have completed the application, the merchant will receive an email to review the information and sign the application if they approve of the information entered. However, you can fill out only the minimum required fields noted below. These fields all have red asterisks next to them in the application denoting that they are required:
Client's Corporate/Legal Name
Clients Business Name or DBA
ISO Company Name
Agent First & Last Name
Agent Phone Number
Agent Email
The Rates and Fees you are offering your merchant
Debit Merchant Account Discount Rate (%)

Please note that all documents may not be required based on the merchant's business model, but in most cases each document will be required.

Articles of Formation/Incorporation/Organization
IRS EIN/SS4 Document
Valid Business License

Most recent 3 months of merchant processing or bank statements (if currently accepting credit/debit transactions, if they are currently a cash-only business, these documents will not be required)
Management Agreement (if merchant is run by management company)
Applications will not be sent to NanoKard's underwriting team until the application has been filled out in its entirety, signed, dated, and all supporting documentation uploaded. It is your responsibility to make sure that the merchant completes all the requirements in a timely manner. Once submitted to the underwriting team, they will have three business days to review the documents and approve/decline, or request further documentation or information.
Once you have submitted the application to the merchant you and the merchant will both receive emails from the system.
Once the merchant signs and submits the fully executed application, the application is immediately sent to the NanoKard underwriting team to begin the due diligence process. You will also receive an email when the merchant has submitted their application. All status updates will be communicated to you from the team via email. Any discrepancies of information on the application, missing supporting documentation, or e-commerce websites that do not pass underwriting review may result in delay or rejection of the merchant application. The underwriting team will email you with any questions or additional requirements needed to complete the due diligence process.
Once underwriting has approved the merchant, they will have three business days to create the merchant's account.
The below screenshot is from the QMA rates and fees section. This is the section that you will enter in the rates you and your merchant have agreed to. You want to make sure that the merchant rate is higher than your buy rate. You will be responsible for the loss margin in any fees collected from your merchant due to incorrect pricing. Once the application has been submitted to the merchant, the rates and fees fields can no longer be edited. There are also additional sections that address merchant and terminal fees, these fees are hard coded in the agreement, and cannot be edited by you.
Note, If rate changes are required at a later date, a rate change form can be requested from NanoKard by sending an email to support@nanokard.com. The new rate agreement must be signed by both the ISO/Agent, and the merchant.
Even though NanoKard processes for many high risk industries, there are still industries and products with ingredients that we cannot process.

Residual payments are immediately available to you on the NanoKard platform in your Account Transactions wallet under the commissions tab. Funds can be exported same day via ACH as long as the request(s) is submitted prior to the cutoff times listed below.
There is a $100K limit per transaction, however, there is not a limitation on the number of transactions a merchant can initiate per day as long as the funds are available and they do not exceed $100k per transaction. Requests for same day ACH must be submitted by 9am PST Monday-Friday
Requests received after 9am PST each morning will process as next day ACH in the next morning's processing batch.
Please note that ACH payments are not processed on weekends or holidays.
What is the NanoKard Merchant Wallet?
The NanoKard merchant wallet is a component of the NanoKard platform that records every sales transaction, refund, or Chargeback, and logs every withdrawal from your merchant wallet.
How do funds get into the NanoKard Merchant Wallet?
The NanoKard Merchant Wallet is fully integrated with terminals. A customer swipes or inserts their card into the terminal at the point of sale and the funds from that sale are delivered into the NanoKard merchant wallet. The amount of funds available for release on a given day is dependent upon the agreed to number of days that funds are held in arrears according to your NanoKard Merchant Application.
Where is the money held?
Funds are held in FDIC insured United States bank accounts.
How do you move funds from your wallet?
Funds are moved out of the wallet via ACH transfer. The merchant, or ISO/Agent, must initiate each withdrawal, or set up a recurring ACH withdrawal from the wallet.
Chargeback Management
Customers are directed to NanoKard's customer support as a first line of defense against Chargebacks.
